Statement from FCWGA president, Jennifer Jackson:
What a fun day we had at Monarch Country Club to close out our 2023 Season this past Thursday! THANK YOU, Jill Stone, course delegate, for organizing the orange & black shamble event, goodie bags, candy adorned tables and festive centerpieces (Congratulations to those with APRIL Birthdays - Ha!)..
We were so thankful that Monarch stepped up to host us for our closing event. The team was attentive and ready to take us on - not to mention there were two shotgun events that morning!! The course was challenging and putting was slick - perfect for the format! Everyone enjoyed the luncheon options while connecting AND of course, paying close attention to our closing meeting and event results - Loved it!!

DAY 2 (Oct 12 Thursday) of the FCWGA Championship!
The winds came like a hurricane, tossing balls left and right like nobody's business and lifting skirts and blowing away hats. It was a day made for the winners and some rose to the occasion and some folded (like me 😖).
But fun was had by all! More new friendships were made and more promises to return with a better game next time (including me 😊).
And to top it all, Hunters Run didn't disappoint - wonderful course in great shape with just enough challenges, whopping banquet spread (I could have eaten more if I wasn't taking pictures), excellent service by the staff, and a fantastic venue.

It will rain, they said. We may not play, they said. We should wait for announcement, they said. But our prexy JJ said, 'NO'. There will be no rain! The weather will be just fine! And, of course, as usual, SHE'S RIGHT!

There will be snacks and refreshments on course - Lunch will be ON YOUR OWN

There will be snacks and refreshments on course - Tapas reception and awards presentation to follow play (Beer & wine included).

Don't forget to bring $10 for our CTTP Event ($5 for each day)!

NOTE FROM THE FCWGA PRESIDENT:
Hard to believe we're closing in on our final FCWGA event of the season - No stopping time! You will be receiving the Golf Genius invitation to join in on our closing event festivities this Friday.

We will be holding our closing event at Monarch Country Club on Thursday, October 26th. Our Delegate, Jill Stone has been working hard to ensure a fun and surprise-filled event.

Welcome to the Fore County Women’s Golf Association (FCWGA) – a leading association of amateur women golfers ages 21 and older and residing in southeast Florida. Our tournaments are conducted at premier locations in Indian River, Martin, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties. Founded in 1978, FCWGA’s mission is to connect and foster friendly competition, sportsmanship, and an appreciation for the integrity of the game.

Members (new and returning) can join anytime from early March until just before our final tournament in October. If you are interested in playing different courses and meeting new friends, please join us!
