U.S. Sen. Tina Smith announced Thursday she will retire after next year, opting against a 2026 bid for another six-year term. Smith has represented Minnesota in the U.S. Senate since 2018. She served as lieutenant governor under Gov. Mark Dayton, who appointed her to the Senate vacancy after former Sen. Al Franken resigned.

Two Teens Suddenly Vanished 5 Years Apart In Bemidji Around Halloween. What's Going On?

According to the Bemidji Police Department, on October 31, 2016, 17-year-old Jeremy Jourdain attended a party with some friends near Sixth Street Southeast and Wood Avenue Southeast in Bemidji, Minnesota.

Jeremy stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. Suddenly, without warning, Jeremy” said “I’m outta here” and took off running, the BPD reports.

He has never been seen or heard from again.

According to the Bemidji Police Department, on October 21, 2021, 15-year-old Neveah Kingbird vanished from the Southview Terrace Mobile Home Park in Bemidji. She was last seen around 2:00 am when she suddenly left the residence.

"Her friend's stepdad... just got home or something and he was knocking at the door," her sister, LaKaylee, told KARE 11. "Nevaeh got scared and she took off... They said that when they looked out the window that she was gone."

Neveah has never been seen or heard from again.

Both teens suddenly disappeared, five years apart, around Halloween in Bemidji, Minnesota.

Jeremy was last seen wearing a blue and gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black and white Air Jordan shoes.

Jeremy Jourdain is 6'4" and weighs 170 pounds.

Neveah may have been wearing a red Chicago Bulls sweatshirt, with jeans.

Neveah Kingbird is 5'4" and weighs 120 pounds.
