The economy is great but everyone seems poised to blame the President for that?

It’s true. By every metric that’s been used to measure economies in the 20th century, other Presidents would invade a small South American nation and topple their Democratically elected leaders for. Unemployment is the lowest of my lifetime. The Stock Market is so high it would make Reagan remember where he was. Retail sales are soaring.

So why then, in the middle of all of this luxury, is your average American ready to hand the keys over to a rambling, s*x felon, with a history of telling people to inject bleach?

It’s the Capitalism, stupid.

Look, I’m a Socialist. So take what I’m saying with the boulder of salt it deserves. But I’m not advocating for a complete overhaul (at this moment).

Democrats AND Republicans are destined to be stuck in this loop of good economies and disgruntled voters. Both parties represent and are full of capitalists.

It’s why everyone in the UK is destined to be a failure post-Brexit. The guys in charge are all pro-Brexit. It’s apart of their personality now. To be anti-Brexit would be to no longer be a member of the ruling party. Since the fix is clearly to try and get back in with the EU, they’ll never get there.

Republicans are the Party of unfettered Capitalism. And Democrats are so scared of being labeled a socialist they begin every speech with “I’m the most pro-capitalist that’s ever lived”. (It doesn’t matter they’re labeled as communist/socialists by the Republicans no matter what they do)

Neither is going to admit the problem. Which means everyone is destined to fail at trying to “fix” it. Biden thinks EV charging stations and more jobs will fix it. We have more jobs. Trump thinks tariffs sending the military to the southern border will fix it. Immigrants, even illegal ones, are a net 7 TRILLION dollar gain on the economy, you white supremacist thugs!

But if we did admit the problem, we could see some things. We’d see inflation was largely a result of corporate greed. The Stock Market is high because we’re being price gouged. Wages are up, but only for 1990’s wages. Unemployment is low because a lot of folks are working multiple jobs to get by and others have quit looking, a sign of despair for some.

Biden wants to make child care affordable. The problem is not child care being outrageously expensive (but holy f**k it is way too expensive and something needs to be done). The problem is families are being squeezed so hard all able bodied adults must work ten hour days six days a week. Have you seen the pro-Union meme about thanking a Union for your 40 hour work week and two day weekends? How many of us actually have that? Or have the financial security to tell their boss they can only work 9-5 Monday through Friday?

If the average American is working 60+ a week to make ends meet, is the economy really “Great”? If you’re a layoff away from losing it all, are you feeling awesome about the future?

Socially there’s a whole laundry list of reasons NOT to vote for the guy who will usher in the American Taliban. But unless Democrats can admit what the problem is, they’re never going to fix it and will have to HOPE the American voter doesn’t want to spin the wheel and give fascism a try. Because corporations and billionaires LOVE fascism. They won’t fight it. Pepsi won’t make tone deaf Kylie Jenner ad saying it’s a bad. Muskerberg won’t adjust their algorithms to suddenly drop their techbro libertarianism views.

S**t, I’m not even telling you whom you should vote. Just call/write your representatives and tell them the problem is capitalism. Then organize and form a Union under your bosses nose. And if you see a picket line, don’t cross it.

Dems, I don't think Roe v Wade is the winning issue you think it is. Sure, voters in heavy Red states are turning out to vote, but only for propositions or amendments to their state's Constitution. The Republican Party has not paid a price and I don't think it will.

If it was the issue you were hoping for then every political expert wouldn't be confidently predicting the Senate to change Republican regardless of who wins President next year. The House wouldn't still be considered a toss up by those same pollsters and political scientists.

And surely, the men who stole Supreme Court seats from Obama and packed it under Trump, along with all the lower court appointments, would not be leading Biden past the margin of error in every swing state.

It's easy for us to sit back and tell Muslim-Americans that things would be 1000 times worse under Trump and they should really vote for Biden. We have no skin in the game. Here's your new Civil War Map.

Don't you love it when you're talking with a friend about something and they jar something loose in your brain that helps? Thanks, Jay.

I don't think what Biden is doing is Constitutional. A LOT of folks are bringing up all kinds of different legislation saying "ACKSHULLEY, the President CAN do this!". Quick note, the President has not been granted new war powers via legislation in over a decade. So ALL of the powers you think he has was granted to him by a completely different set of House and Senate members, as well as an entirely different President.

Recently, the Supreme Court of the United States dealt a blow to Leftists and the EPA by ruling that the agency could NOT regulate the very things it was created by Congress to regulate, without an act of Congress. We wanted the EPA to do things because Congress is a wasteland where Climate Laws go to die, and the Right very much knows this.

Well, what's good for the goose....

The reasoning (which MANY neocons yee hawed over) was that if the EPA could create any regulations it wanted, that Congress would be abdicating it's very clear Constitutional duty to regulate. SCOTUS has ruled that Congress cannot abdicate their duty.

Which brings me back to these war powers laws. Most are leftover from Bush's "War on Terror". They gave him wide latitude to go after the perpetrators of 9/11. Subsequent Presidents keep using that same law to pretty much do whatever they want. In this case, calling acts of war by Ansar Allah in Yemen "terrorism" (firing on shipping lanes is something EVERYONE does in times of war. Zero ships have been sunk and zero people have been killed.).

Regardless, given SCOTUS previous rulings that the United States Congress cannot abdicate their own power. How can you look at decades old legislation passed by people who are now dead, and signed by ex-Presidents, possibly still work?

I know that if this very issue went before this crop of assclowns in the Supreme Court, they'd likely find some loophole because they like war. But right now, I'd argue they've made their case very clearly.

Since Congress cannot abdicate their authority over war powers, the previous war powers laws cannot be used by the current President to justify his actions. What he is doing is not Constitutional.

"The United Nations, European Union and several countries, including China, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Germany and Iraq, denounced the bombings." Huh... who is missing from that list?

Ally or enemy, the United States should be among the first to condemn Terrorism. I don't care if they're chanting "D***h to America" in the streets. Innocent civilians should never be targeted.

If you're wondering what ISIL has against Iran, the terrorist group is extremely anti-Shia and Iran is a Shia state. That's really it. For conspiracy nuts, you could argue the United States isn't interested in really stopping ISIL because they target our enemies. Personally, I don't see them actively supporting or helping ISIL, but if we had intelligence of an ISIL attack against Iran I COULD see the CIA just deciding not to pass is along. Which is wrong, but on par for our foreign policy.

Attack claimed by ISIL (ISIS) took place in Kerman on Wednesday during a memorial for top commander Qassem Soleimani.

Burying the lead, imo: "The North’s artillery firing came a day after the South Korean and United States finished a weeklong joint live-fire military drill in Pocheon, north of Seoul, on Thursday that involved artillery, tanks, armored vehicles and A-10 Warthog planes."

South Korea spends more on their military than the entire GDP of North Korea. Not to mention all the US Military presence. The idea that North Korea is any threat at all to the South is ridiculous.

Sadly, I don't see an end to any of this. South Korea doesn't have a First Amendment of any kind. There are laws still being enforced that can jail a person for being too nice about socialism. Imagine an America where both political parties are Conservative because anything to the Left is a jailable offense. That's what's going on in South Korea to this day.

I don't know what laws there are in North Korea about being pro-Capitalist, but they're not our ally. The South is.

The South asked nearby islanders to seek shelter before it launched a military exercise in the disputed waters and chided the North for “threatening peace.”

I don't think terrorism is ever justified but, we cannot be shocked it is used when all other tools are smacked away. This situation is very much of oppressive asshats like Netanyahu in Israel's government making.

"As vice president, he undercut Barack Obama’s efforts to push Israel toward peace."

Yea, this all continues to provide evidence that Joe Biden has got a serious problem. There's a lot of evidence through his actions that he is anti-Islam.

The president once said “Israel could get into a fistfight with this country and we’d still defend" it. That is now clearer than ever.

Ok, this is an example of what I talk about often. In this same podcast, the guest says not to worry about the polls because no one is paying attention. THEN he goes onto claim that Joe Biden’s great failure is he’s beholden to the far Left of his Party AND THEN CITES ZERO INSTANCES WHERE THAT HAS HAPPENED!!! He’s just allowed to say “Well, Joe ran as a centrist but now woo boy is he a lefty liberal and that’s why his polls suck!” and there is no push back from the interviewer. Drives me crazy. Yet if you go on media and say Trump is crazy, they want quotations and sources. It’s absolutely bonkers.

“Look, he is. He’s a dictator in the sense that he’s a guy who runs a country that is a communist country that is based on a form of government totally different from ours,” -President Biden 11/16/2023

1) President Biden doesn't know the definition of a dictator. If he did he'd know,
2) China is not an autocracy and,
3) China is not communist.

Xi has consolidated power within his political party, which means what he says basically goes. But this is no different than Biden consolidating power within his political party, or Trump in his.

Furthermore, Xi has significantly less power than the United States President. China is organized in such a way that local governments have significantly more power. If you ever see mainstream media showing a Chinese protest being mobbed by police, that isn't Xi. That's the local government. This is confusing because other times protests go off without a problem at all in China. However, mainstream American media doesn't differentiate between local and federal governments. Obviously, a President can influence, but that's it.

China may call itself Communist, but it isn't. In a Communist country guess what there are not? Oligarchs. Billionaires. Even Millionaires should be difficult to find. However, China opened up it's borders to foreign investment and that meant adapting to Western needs. There are private businesses in China.

"But, Kyle! China controls those businesses!" you say? In what way does it differ between America and China? Both governments have levers of power that decide winners and losers within their economy. Both have agencies that oversee different aspects of the economy. If America wants to kill your company, they can do so just as easily as in China.

Finally, this is another chip to throw onto the "Biden isn't as awesome as people say he is" pile. He comes out of a meeting with Xi and immediately calls him a dictator. You can argue he does it because the American electorate needs to hear that given their current views on China. That saying anything would feed into that BS right wing narrative that he is somehow bought and sold by China (projecting much?). However, is it better to appease the misinformed fools in your own country, or agitate a nuclear power?

Biden is bad on China and I think he's only getting a pass because Trump is so obviously worse. Which is kind of most of Biden. Hell, it's most Democrats. They only look awesome when you see their opposition.
