LOVE - UNFETTERED AND FREE

Love, unfettered and free
Celebrating eternal youth
Delightful pleasures of flesh
Enjoyed in a free-for-all
Orgiastic frenzied hell
Increasingly the mindless trend
Among a select affluent set
Carnal lust the driving force
Behind happening parties
Liberal dozes of booze and dope
Loud music, provocative dance
Serial polygyny, wicked adultery
All in the name of modernity.

Money, whose colour is unknown
Flows as freely as liquor and drugs
Casual s*x the real motive after all
The spoiled offspring of the tycoon
Cavorting with fast girls sans morals
As power brokers count their dough
Tapping the shapely bottoms of sirens
All stages of love, like longing, romance,
Passion, lust and fulfilment
Mix in a blur in course of a single night
Or maybe, just a weekend jaunt
Sometimes with multiple partners
To be discarded and forgotten
Sooner than you can spell love

Commitment, loyalty, faithfulness---
Hey are you crazy or simply joking?

It's strange how our hearts feel empty ..and full at the same time.

THAT NIGHT

I often wonder if you heard
My
Whispered
Words...

We were head to head in a single bed,
Snuggled like spoons - so bright was the moon.
I felt your soft breath on the back of my neck.
You held me so tight, felt so right...

I whispered "I love you." - it's true.
You mumbled a "Hmm?"- I felt numb -
Felt all my fear gather near.
I paused in thought.
Said "Never mind." from my mind,
For protection, I feared the rejection.
We fell asleep, feet touching feet,
Skin touching skin, I kept it all in.
Still...

I often wonder if you heard
My
Whispered
Words.

Life goes on, you now gone;
Different paths no looking back,
But every now and then, you come again,
You message "Hi". I whisper a silent reply,
Yet in my mind I ponder and often wonder
If you heard
My
Whispered
Words,
That night
The moon
Shone bright.

Will I see your master plan
If I stay calm in your presence

Will my eyes see resolution
When my spirit starts to break
Will I see the solution
Tell me, Lord what will it take

If I hold on a little longer
Will it all start to unfold
Will your presence make me stronger
Tell me when will I know

In a dark and stormy night
Will I stand in the solution
When it's for you that I fight

If I reach for your greatness
Every time I'm on my knees
Will I feel your mighty power
Come and wash all over me

When I finally clear my view
When I walk in the solution
That comes straight from you

During times, I don't reach out
Is it when I fall down
That I need to lose my doubt

Over the murmurous choral of dim waves
The constellations glow against the soft
Ethereal dusk, —forever fair, aloft,
Serene, while man climbs painfully from caves
To cities, clamorous cities, life that raves
Like surf against the rocks. It is not oft
Our cities glimpse the stars, their luster scoffed
Away by low, hard glitter that outbraves
Night's blessing of the dark. But here upon
Mid-ocean, all whose muffled voices ring
A rapture lost to our vexed human wills,
We see the primal radiance that shone
On chaos, —see the young God shepherding
His gleaming flocks on the empurpled hills.
