Melodology Podcast "Celebrating the Unsung Excellence of Melody Makers!"

Each episode, host composer Arthur Breur and a guest explore and examine beloved melodies!

19/09/2024

I thank everyone who is a fan of the Melodology Podcast for your support and your encouragement. And... for your patience!

As everyone should know by now (but if not, here's the news!), in April 2024 I moved to southern France with my husband, Brian. Amazingly, it's only now been about a year since we decided on France as home base for our new adventure. Things moved quickly, even if during the process they sometimes seemed to crawl.

Well, in all of that adventure, many things had to take a pause. One of these was the production of this podcast. A new country, speaking a new language, a nine-hour change in time zone, a new apartment... all of these things combined to take up more of my mind than I ever expected--so much that I could barely even force myself to work on the podcast over the first months after the move.

But now I feel that I again have the capacity to bring focus back to the podcast and to get it rolling again. I have a few episodes "in the can" as it were, ready to be edited and published. As I get the production process rolling again, I will also set up the process of scheduling new episodes.

Let me know if you have a melody you'd like us to examine. Usually, I invite the guest composer to suggest the melody they want to discuss. From time to time, they don't have their own choice, so I can use that opportunity to explore another melody that I am interested in -- or one that has been suggested.

So thank you again for your patience as I adjusted to my new life on an entirely diffrent continent. Look for the next episode in coming weeks.

It's good to be back.

Best,

Arthur Breur
