جھنگ میں سب سے زیادہ سیاسی گہما گہمی پی پی 125 جھنگ-1 میں پائی گئی ہے جہاں اصل مقابلہ پاکستان تحریک انصاف کے سردار غلام احمد گاڈی اور پاکستان مسلم لیگ (ن) کے مخدوم فیصل صالح حیات کے درمیان ہے۔ اب تک کے اعداد و شمار کے مطابق پی ٹی آئی واضح اکثریت کے ساتھ آگے ہے۔ فیصل صالح حیات کی حالیہ انتقامی اور پکڑ دھکڑ کی سیاست انہیں بھاری پڑ سکتی ہے۔ یاد رہے یہ جھنگ کا واحد حلقہ ہے جہاں پی ٹی آئی کا کوئی امیدوار صحیح طرز میں الیکشن کمپین کر رہا ہے۔

This constituency, previously known as PP-125 in General Elections 2018, comes under NA-108.

In 2018 General Elections, Independent candidate Faisal Hayat Jabboana won with a lead of 12000 votes which was overturned by Mian Azam Chaila with a huge margin of 30000 votes in Bye-elections 2022.

Despite major political factions leaning towards PMLN's candidate this time, PTI's major strength, youth is still intact. PMLN's candidate faces a tough opposition in the constituency even when PTI's candidate, Mian Azam isn't on ground. It can be a much bigger lead once he returns.

1) Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan (PTI) 54%
2) Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat (PMLN) 41%

This constituency has two kind of votes:
A) Traditional vote ( Makhdoom stronger)
B) Party vote (Sahibzada stronger)

Here the competition is between two distinguished and renowned 'Gaddis', Pir of Shah Jewana and Pir of Bahu Sultan. The main castes in this constituency are Baloch, Syed, Sial and Khokhar.

In 2018 elections, Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan got 106043 votes, Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat bagged 105454 votes where the difference was only 550 votes.

In 2024 elections, PTI's wave has proved helpful for Mehboob Sultan who was getting unpopular day by day. Independent candidate, Iftikhar Baloch's support for PTI candidates have pushed Mehboob Sultan further ahead because he had got 65000 votes in 2018 elections.

Despite being popular on traditional votes, the reason for Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat for standing second on the polls is his unpopular decision of joining PMLN as well as his politics of vengeance.
