Director Brian Lucke Anderson and screenwriter Mokotsi Rukundo collaborated to bring this slow burning crime drama set in small town Iowa to screen. It took two years from the story’s inception to principal photography to raise funds and bring their passion project to the big screen. When scouting locations, Mokotsi wanted to pay homage to his childhood in Iowa. This shot was taken in Solon, Iowa where several of the scenes in the film take place. It took another year through a pandemic to get to their first screening. Resilience, determination, and tenacity helped get this film to theaters! We are proud to be entering the festival circuit starting with this special screening at Julien Dubuque Film Festival.
