By specializing in one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories made from mostly vintage Japanese fabrics and other vintage fabrics such as African, Americana and Indian textiles, clothier Lisa Wiemken creates unique works of art designed to be worn with pride.
Pitacus Chop Art is the artistic outlet of Wiemken, who was given the Pitacus nickname by her father when she was a toddler.
“I kept that nickname as my label because those close to me know who I am and what I do,” Wiemken says. “I didn’t know I would be so blessed to continue to do what I love for this long, approximately 30 years! I love my loyal customers and it’s been an honor meeting new customers from all over. I am beyond grateful and am very fortunate to be located in Kaimukī.”
There are styles for both men and women, as well as a range of accessories and gift items, including hats, bags and jewelry.
The storefront, located on the second floor of the iconic turquoise Okumura Building, is open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm, unless alternate hours are posted.
