It is overwhelming to see our babies grow up so quickly and with this physical growth comes maturity and curiosity. When your child asks you these questions, you are perplexed. But if you carry that emotion on your face, your kid becomes conscious and will probably stop asking them to YOU. - Your reaction and answer sets the pedestal for their life here.

When a boy or young man exhibits vulnerability, clichés like "boys don't cry," "take it like a man," and even "don't be such a girl" are regularly used in today's society. These terms are really prevalent, and they're frequently used to persuade men to stop being resentful over anything. Some may argue that they are innocuous or that they encourage young boys to be tough. However, what they are really encouraging boys and young men is to repress their own emotions, which is both restricting and harmful.

THS believes that everyone should be able to express their full range of emotions, and that gender stereotypes harm both men and women.

Comment a few cliches you've heard that are both offensive and unintentionally used on a daily basis.

Here are some ways that you can encourage the future feminists in your family, whether it's breaking down gender stereotypes or spreading knowledge about women's rights and gender equality. It's our responsibility as parents to provide a loving, supportive
environment where anything is possible for our children.

While I was growing up, I learned a color "rule". Pink is for girls and blue is for boys. It's something we all heard growing up. But why? Who
decided this? And why do many of us enforce this rule so strictly?
Perhaps you are thinking to yourself, "Who cares if pink is for girls and blue is for boys. What's the big deal?".
By assigning colors to babies, we enforce a role that they should grow and fit into. There are only two colors, and there are also only two
genders that can be claimed.
To be a girl, you have to like pink, and that is also an indication that you are girly.
When you're a boy, blue is a must, and you cannot like pink, or else you aren't manly enough. If you're a girl and you like blue, then you are a tomboy, and a girl who doesn't know how to be a “proper girl”.
In my opinion, gendered colors are totally outdated, and we should stop pushing them on children if we hope for a world with fewer stereotypes fewer sexisms, and overall fewer prejudices.

The fight for equality in general is a great endeavor and one that has, in many cases, been long overdue.

Equality and equity are strikingly different things to strive for in relationships, so it is worth considering both before you choose to focus on just one or label your relationship.

In spite of how small the change may seem, shifting from "equality" to "equity" is one of the most important things you can do in your marriage today.

Is it equity or equality? Personally, I believe that a combination of both equity and equality is a fundamental key if you want to be able to make a marriage last.

Respecting each other's individuality.

Recognise that different viewpoints exist and be willing to compromise.

A 50/50 split of everything in a relationship is unrealistic and might create problems in the future.

Equality or equity? Which do you value more?

As parents, we are more open-minded and realize a boy liking pink color or a girl preferring fast bikes over dance classes does not make them any less of a boy or a girl. The time has come for us to let our children find their interests and forge their own paths, not blindly follow societal expectations.
In addition to toys and activities, we may want to consider the pressures and expectations placed on our child by society because of his or her gender.

➡️Each child should be able to be who they are without limitations.

➡️Gender-neutrality can enhance a child's sense of identity and self-esteem.

➡️There is a greater likelihood for children who identify as gender-neutral to promote gender equality in their culture.

➡️Their upbringing teaches them to be unbiased in any and every situation.

All our lives we have been stereotyping, consciously or unconsciously. The truth is, we unconsciously categorize people, based on what we have experienced or witnessed in life, regardless of how much we understand it and try to avoid it.
In addition to this, people continue to put each other in boxes based on their gender. Gender stereotyping is the most significant aspect of stereotyping that parents unknowingly inculcate in children.

The Hue Squad will delve into "Are we still talking about Gender?" this week.

There are innumerable joys during your pregnancy - the first kick, the first time you feel your baby move and also the first time you get giddy with the whirlwind of emotions.

And we must not forget to mention the over joyous - NESTING PHASE. The urge to splurge to make up the nursery, the piling of new clothes for your itty bitty, the  lavish gadgets that you'll  probably learn that you won’t need - all this is natural. While studies have not yet determined the exact source to this feeling, this can be associated with several hormonal changes or it could just be your maternal instincts kicking in!

Whatever it may be, we say, go on now - SHOP till your baby drops!
