I say this because I find myself struggling the last few days. It’s ok. It’s ok if some days are harder then others. It doesn’t mean that you are weak or that you will never see easier days again. It just means that things are harder for whatever reason and you need to be patient and companionate with yourself. You need to show yourself grace and love. The same you would for anyone else in your life who is going through a tough time.
Remember we got this 💪🏽

Recently, I had the privilege of participating in a great conversation with some women from my church about boundaries. During our conversation, I had several light bulb moments, but one that stuck out the most to me was how as women, we tend to take on everyone else's problems. Whether we are fixing the problem or worrying about it endlessly. So much of our energy and time goes into giving to others, but we never think to fix our own problems. We must give ourselves the space and permission to create a list of all the things that are most important, need attention, and even those that just need to be taken care of over all else. Because we can't keep trying to put out everyone else's fires while our house is still burning.

Insomnia is one of the most challenging symptoms of my Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
I can fall asleep anywhere, but staying asleep through out the night has always been a challenge for me.

When you don't get enough sleep, it causes all kinds of problems in your life. My anxiety was exacerbated by the fact that I was always tired, irritable, and unfocused. I was eating a lot of things I shouldn't have been eating at 3am, and the intimacy between my husband and me also suffered.

My nighttime routine was a struggle for a long time, until I started to understand the importance of proper sleep hygiene. Proper Sleep is still a work in progress for me. Nevertheless, I have more good nights than bad nights nowadays.
