We've been MIA for a while! With a few interviews recorded and an intro episode to restarting a season, I hope to reconnect to the airwaves soon.

We've been invested in getting Multiplied By One Org off the ground since it was registered as a nonprofit in March of 2022. We have 11 support groups running weekly in 4 categories, with more to come!

While it's not a podcast, the November 2022 digital issue of our Real Eyez Nation Magazine had full human-read, accessibility-friendly audio that can be muted in settings.

https://realeyeznation.aflip.in/Divided

This magazine is on trauma and dissociative disorders and is 100 pages in 6 sections. It's free to view and share. The menus are linked with anchors to take you to the destination. The org website is at https://multipliedbyone.org

The second issue is due to be released one year from the first publication in Nov 2023.

Take care, all, and I will connect on those airwaves!

A magazine on trauma and dissociative disorders by Multiplied By One Org. The November 2022 issue of Real Eyez Nation approaches this complex topic in a simple and engaging way for general readers or with more in-depth research for deep divers. An audio and visual presentation is accessibility-frien...

🌸 We are late to sing this episode's ballad of release, though the topic of "Out of the Ashes | Is DID Tragic?" was covered in The Bag System | Dissociative Identity Disorder podcast a few weeks ago.

Deep consideration went into the wording and expression of this episode, as it's so common to feel that DID is tragic. Is it?

As usual, we love to hear your thoughts, and if you haven't peeked over there already, you can find the pod site at https://thebagsystem.com/

While a misconception equates Dissociative Identity Disorder with Psychopathy, this is damagingly inacurate. Melissa speaks on her perspective of how this perception may have come to be, while also accounting for validating any show of aggression that may exist with a persecutor alter.

Dissociative Identity Disorder (previously known as multiple personality disorder) is a severe form of dissociation, a mental process which produces a lack of connection in a person's thoughts, memories, feelings, actions, or sense of identity.

Melissa is the host of The Bag System podcast, as well as the Headmate that is fronting most often. She is a writer, mental health advocate and has her main YouTube channel under the name Idranktheseawater. Melissa also has Tourette syndrome.

DID is a complex psychological condition that is likely caused by many factors, including severe trauma during early childhood (usually extreme, repetitive physical, s*xual, or emotional abuse).

Although not everyone experiences DID the same way, for some the "alters" or different identities have their own age, s*x, or race. Each has their own postures, gestures, and distinct way of talking. As each personality reveals itself and controls the individuals' behavior and thoughts, it's called "switching."

Melissa once made a joke in saying, “I’m dissociating into a bag of Skittles; taste the rainbow.” After this joke became more of a running topic, it was proposed to her Headmates to be known as “The Bag System.”

If you or someone you know suffers from DID or Tourettes, we ask you to share Melissa's story. Remember sharing a story can help someone else going through the same thing ❤️
