Happy ! Excited to share some adoptable dogs making their way to in Reno this week from California. The rescue is active on Facebook so you can see more!

Many of these dogs have medical needs and had only a few short days in the shelter before they were put on the E list. I can’t wait to meet them and am thankful they are safe and am grateful for all the hard work and coordination of volunteers it takes for a transport. ❤️

Except for the first pup pictured, Jesse, all the other babies are unnamed until they make their way to us. Any suggestions!? ❤️ The last pup pictured is sweet Coco! An owner surrender from San Diego. She’s wonderful, playful and sweet. She does have a cataract in one eye (doesn’t bother her) but is otherwise healthy! DM me if you are interested in adopting her! ❤️

🦷 RUDY tooth update (all is good!) 🦷

A few weeks ago we took Rudy to the vet for his eye. It was all red and goopy and irritated. Turns out it was his one glorious tooth causing the eye issue. Rudy got meds and drops and if it persisted, we’d have to remove his tooth! Good news - all has cleared up and remained clear to the tooth is SAFE! 🥹🦷❤️

🦷 RUDY tooth update (all is good!) 🦷

A few weeks ago we took Rudy to the vet for his eye. It was all red and goopy and irritated. Turns out it was his one glorious tooth causing the eye issue. Rudy got meds and drops and if it persisted, we’d have to remove his tooth! Good news - all has cleared up and remained clear to the tooth is SAFE! 🥹🦷❤️

❤️ HARRY cancer update (all is good!) ❤️

Since being diagnosed with Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in December Harry has been doing great! We found this diagnosis through routine blood work before his dental and our amazing vet at was diligent in coming to this diagnosis as it’s not an easy one to find.

Harry is not showing any symptoms and is getting regular blood checks to check his levels. There isn’t an oncologist in Reno but we did visit a vet at the speciality animal hospital who has a focus in oncology so we know what to keep an eye out for as more time goes by. Harry’s quality of life will always be our number one priority. He did also have his dental and is feeling so much better. Here’s fast walkies, kisses and snuggles. Love you, Harry! ❤️

Our friends at are a resource and advocate for senior dogs and senior people in Pacific Grove, CA. They find loving homes for senior dogs and dogs left behind.

Although they specialize in senior dogs, they also get younger dogs surrendered to them from senior guardians. Adoption fee waived Feb 8-21 for pups 14+ years old! Standard vetting and adoption policies still apply. 🥹❤️

🦷 Rudy tooth update! 🦷

A couple weeks ago Rudy’s right eye was really red and goopy. We got him into the vet where the vet said his one, magnificent K9 tooth may be infected causing the eye issue.

He was put on some meds and drops and at his recheck his eye looked much better. We will continue to monitor and if his eye gets red and goopy again, his glorious toof will have to be removed! 🦷 Which will in no way stop him from snackin!

It’s and we want to share adoptable dogs and dogs looking for foster homes with our friends at ! They are located in Las Vegas, NV and take in retired breeding dogs to find them the homes they deserve.

As you can imagine there are so many who need homes in addition to puppies they get surrendered to them on a regular basis from breeders. They are in need of fosters and adopters. is a non-profit located in Tijuana, Mexico and holds regular adoption events in the US in the Bay Area, California, Southern California and Medford, Oregon. They have many dogs that been overlooked for way too long, and “many with whacky ears that we are sure would get adopted with a little extra help!” 🥹

It’s ! A special day of the week where we share adoptable dogs on our feed (daily we share adoptable dogs in our stories!)

Today’s rescue is the amazing senior dog rescue of located in Pacific Grove, CA!

They specialize in senior dogs but they also get younger dogs surrendered to them from senior guardians and their website is updated several times a week. They focus on helping dogs and people from Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties.

They find loving foster and forever homes for dogs whose guardians can no longer care for them and for senior dogs in shelters. They also provide volunteer and financial assistance so seniors can keep their pets with them as long as possible. In addition, they make pre-arrangements to take in dogs should their guardians become unable to care for them.

We are speechless! Peanut’s adoptaversary fundraiser last night raised more than we ever could have expected and 100% is going to the wonderful senior and hospice dogs of . We are still tallying the total so stay tuned!

Throughout the night more than 100 people celebrated with us and we couldn’t have had such a successful night without the support of those near and far. We are just blown away and so grateful. 🥳🥹❤️

On the way to southern Nevada and we had to stop at the Clown Motel for a pic. 🤡 Supposedly haunted and right next to an early 1900s cemetery, we stayed there in high school. 🫨

❤️‍🩹 Harry health update ❤️‍🩹

So many of you have been following Harry’s health updates over the last two months and we want to share the latest. It’s not the best news but there are some things to be thankful for.

❤️‍🩹Harry has been diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
❤️‍🩹Chronic is better than acute in terms of prognosis.
❤️‍🩹Average life expectancy for Harry’s diagnosis is 423 days.
❤️‍🩹Thankfully, he has zero symptoms.
❤️‍🩹We will monitor with regular blood tests and if any symptoms arise and go from there.
❤️‍🩹His quality of life will always be our number 1 priority.

While Reno doesn’t have an oncologist, we are grateful for his vet, Dr. Wehrman, for helping see Harry thought this diagnosis which started with routine lab work before his dental which was supposed to be 2 months ago. . Harry has been cleared for his dental tomorrow. His teeth are in very bad shape and down the road we didn’t want him to have that pain to worry about. ❤️

It’s ! Let’s share the adoptable dogs of in Las Vegas!

Retired to Rescued is located in Las Vegas, NV and takes in former breeding dogs who are discarded yet perfectly lovable and deserving.

They’ve recently taken in dozens of puppies surrendered by breeders for not meeting breeder standards. They take in seniors who are dumped at the shelter. They do amazing work but they need our help with donations, and fosters and adopters. Since many of their dogs are from breeders, they are pure bred dogs. Please share. ❤️
