The wedding day is one of the most beautiful and memorable days in one’s life. Employees who work in the wedding industry do their best to make one’s wedding day special. Although there are many awards ceremonies in other countries to appreciate and recognize talented individuals and businesses in the wedding industry, we haven’t seen an international level wedding industry awards ceremony in Sri Lanka.

In 2019, Venura Kavinda one of the youngest event producers in Sri Lanka brought out the idea of organizing this event. His brother Tharindu Lakshan took the responsibility of turning this idea into a reality.

So, they organized The Wedding Industry Awards 2020 to discover the most popular individuals and businesses in the Sri Lankan wedding industry.

According to Venura, they have received about 4000 applications from all over the country to participate in this event. The intension of this event is to recognize & honour the professionals in the Sri Lankan wedding industry for their great service & contribution.

The Launch & the Press Conference of The Wedding Industry Awards 2020 was held successfully on a grade scale at the Galadari Hotel Colombo on 21st March
