Held annually on the last bank holiday Monday in May, Celebration Day provides a dedicated opportunity to honour and celebrate the lasting impact of those who have inspired and shaped us.

Through our annual School Writing Competition with , participants wrote stories around courage, and many of the submissions focused on the brave actions of people in history.

Winner of the 11 – 13 category, Isabella from Invicta Grammar School, did just this with her entry on and the courage it took for her to refuse to give a white passenger her seat.
