On July 26, a special POCSO court in Meerut awarded a death sentence to 35-year-old Mohammad Faheem. He was accused of ra**ng and killing a 4-year-old girl. Other than the death sentence, the court also imposed Rs 1.2 lakh fine on Fahem for carrying out such a heinous crime. The incident took place in the Jahagirabad area of Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, this year.

In a shocking incident of a broad daylight murder in a posh area of South Delhi, a 25-year-old woman, a student of Shri Aurobindo College in Malviya Nagar, died on the spot after being hit by an iron rod on the head by an attacker who, it is believed, accompanied the woman to the park. Irfan, the attacker, was arrested after Delhi Police launched a probe and a case of murder was filed.

Shocking News 😱 : A man electrocuted his wife to death and then buried her body in a room in the Gola Gokaran area of Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur. After murdering his wife, the accused slept in the same room for two days to avoid getting caught.

The incident was brought to light by the accused mother who reported the murder to the police. The accused, identified as Mohammad Vashi, married Usha Sharma a few years ago after she converted to Islam and changed her name to Aksa Fatima.

Properties and fixed deposits worth Rs 1.62 crore of a former Kerala cadre IAS officer have been attached under the anti-money laundering law in a case of alleged possession of disproportionate assets, the Enforcement Directorate said on Wednesday.
A provisional order for attachment of the assets of the officer, T O Sooraj, has been issued under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), the ED said in a statement.

The properties attached include vacant land located in Kerala, fixed deposits, bank balances and investment in shares, held in the name of the officer as well as in the name of his family members, the federal agency said.
"Further, it was also found that he had purchased a vehicle as 'benami' in the name of his associate. T O Sooraj utilised the illegitimate money to acquire several properties in the name of his family members and associates," the agency said.

A cab driver has been arrested for allegedly molesting a woman in a moving car and throwing her toddler out of the vehicle in Maharashtra's Palghar.

The accused, identified as Vijay Kushwaha, has been booked under sections 304 (culpable homicide) and 354 (using criminal force to any woman, intending to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The woman and her daughter were returning from Palghar in a cab that was being shared by a few other passengers.

A man sufiyan murdered his girlfriend by pushing her from the fourth floor of a building in Lucknow following a heated argument.
