Menopause is a natural phase every woman will experience, and yet it remains an often discreet topic of conversation. This intimate journey is unique for each individual, leading many women to feel isolated or unsure about what to expect. As we navigate this transformative stage, it’s essential to address one crucial aspect—the changes our skin undergoes during menopause.
Special thanks Skinovate Seychelles for the collaboration on the article.

As we approach the end of another year, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and engagement with Cosmocreole. It’s because of you—our loyal readers—that we can bring you thoughtful and inspiring stories and celebrate the achievements of many Seychellois women around the globe.
This year has been one of reflection for us as an online publication. We’ve strived to bring you content that not only informs but also resonates, challenges, and sparks conversation. As Cosmocreole relies on the writers’ free time, it has been hard to keep the momentum, but all the same, we hope that the stories we shared inspired you. Whether it’s been through the words of our talented writers, the conversations ignited in our comment sections, or the stories shared on social media, we are deeply thankful for the dialogue we’ve built together this year. Your insights, feedback, and enthusiasm are what make this journey so fulfilling.
The past year has also reminded us of the power of stories and how they can connect us across distances, cultures, and experiences. In a time when the world often feels fragmented, we’ve seen how shared narratives—whether through personal stories or essays—can bring us closer to understanding each other and ourselves.
As we look forward to the new year, we are more excited than ever to continue this journey with you. We have big plans to bring to Cosmocreole even more diverse voices, deeper discussions, and thought-provoking content your way. Your trust and loyalty motivate us to keep going, and for that, we are incredibly grateful.
Here’s to a year of more stories, more learning, and more connection.
Warmest wishes for the new year,
Jini Gilbert-Finnigan

Sylvie is a three-dimensional artist, she specializes in sculpture and ceramics whereby her artwork is biomorphic in style and sensual in movement. Originally from Seychelles but currently living in Guam, she has always been greatly inspired by the sea and all of its inhabitants, as well as the rest of her natural surroundings. When working with clay, most of her work is created solely with her bare hands as she believes in letting her direct sense of touch guide her sculptural work. Her hands inevitably create what she loves – memories of a childhood paradise, sea life, and the ever-swaying movement of life forces such as the waves and winds. Iza Amade, 21, from Beau Vallon, Mahe, Seychelles was given a ‘death sentence’ after a horrific motorbike accident. Doctors in Seychelles told Iza’s parents that there was nothing they could do to save her life and they should accept that their daughter was going to die. After 3 months in a coma, in a twist of fate, Iza is still alive and living every day, knowing she was given a second chance at life.

March 8th marks International Women’s Day, a day when we celebrate all of the achievement of us—women. It’s the day we intensify the conversation about women’s importance and success in today’s society. This year’s theme is Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress. By investing in women, we can spark change and speed the transition towards a more equal world for all.

The day is about empowerment, so get the message out there and feel part of the collective movement. Have a voice to say that we are important. Make meaningful pledges on professional opportunities for women and support female entrepreneurs and creatives.

Use the day to celebrate women’s achievement and raise awareness about discrimination. Celebrate the women you know and admire, champion female talent today and throughout the year, and, last but not least, look into ways we can invest in women and strive for change. This , challenge unfairness against women and help create a world of boundless opportunity and empowerment for all of us.

Happy women’s day!
