This is a difficult time of Year for Me. My Dads Anniversary of leaving this earth 6 years ago was yesterday. My sweet dog Ruby’s is 2 years gone tomorrow. To say that these losses cut me to my core would be an understatement. I know they are in a better place but I miss them so much! My life will never be the same without them. With each loss of a loved one, they take a piece of my heart with them and replace it with pain, and grief. I’m ok at distracting myself most of the time. But it doesn’t change the hurt or loneliness or the longing to be together again…
I love you Daddy. I’ll always be your little girl and you’ll always be my hero…
Sweet Ruby Girl, my shadow girl with the purest little heart, all love & white fur, I miss you and will never forget you … 💔💔💔

Cheers to one of the hardest working moms in the wild kingdom, the Virginia Opossum.

These moms can have anywhere from four to 25 babies in a single litter. However, female opossums only have 13 ni***es — 12 in a circle and one in the center. Because marsupials can only feed one joey per ni**le, only the first 13 babies of a litter tend to survive.

Still, 13 is a lot of babies to be responsible for at one time. They stay with the mother for about 100 days as they continue developing, eventually moving to ride on the mother's back when they grow bigger.
