I don’t know about you, but my intention for the summer is to have some FUN!

And just like with most things, your systems will be more effective and get you more of the results you want when there is an intention behind them.

Why is it that you want more structure in your home or business?

Maybe you’re feeling tired, burnt out or overwhelmed.

But I want you to go a little deeper than that…

What would if feel like for you if your home was running more smoothly?

What would it feel like if you didn't have to think about everything all the time?

What would you do with that mental energy?

Would it allow you to be more present with your kids? Would it allow you to be more creative in your business?

What is the true driving force for you?

Because that's what you'll come back to - Visualize it, imagine it, see yourself in that place.

Then, join me for the free Pre-Vacation Prep Plan workshop. We’ll talk about simple ways you can create structure around your home and business before vacation…and the systems that will continue to support you all year round.

We start Tuesday, so don’t miss it!

If you don't have systems in place in your home, you might be finding yourself in one of two situations.

1️⃣ Some of the essentials aren’t getting done the way you want.

2️⃣ Things are getting done, but you’re EXHAUSTED by it all.

You don’t need to stay in either of these places any longer if you don’t want to.

Summer is just around the corner, and not only do I want you to be able to unplug and relax when vacation rolls around…I want you to feel that same peace and flow all year round!

In the Pre-Vacation Prep Plan Workshop, you’ll learn how to:

✅Get into “out-of-office” mode, turn off your work brain and take a real break, knowing your business and your clients are taken care of.

✅Set up your home to feel welcoming when you return, rather than being overwhelmed by chores and to-dos.

✅Hold onto those vacation vibes a little longer by easing the transition from vacation back to “real life”.

It’s happening next week - May 9, 10 & 11 at 1:30 pm ET. Replays will be available and it’s totally FREE!

Today, we’re talking about how having a weekly work plan can support you, even when you get thrown off your regular schedule.

For me, the ultimate rhythm is having a regular, repeatable flow to your days and your weeks. It serves as the container for all the other systems you put in place in your home and business.

I’m sharing why it’s so valuable to have a weekly work plan, simple steps to create one of your own and how you can adjust it for your non-typical weeks (hello, summer!).

You’re ready for less mess and overwhelm and more flow in your home, but where you do you start?

It depends on how you’re feeling right now.

Overloaded, overwhelmed and don’t see how you have time to make a change?

➡️Go for the low-hanging fruit. Come up with one small shift you can commit to this week and get yourself a quick win (laundry is a great starting point, IMO).

Super annoyed about something in your house or on your weekly to-do list?

➡️This is your starting point. Pinpoint what’s bothering you and get into problem-solving mode.

Feel like you’re wasting time or just spending way too much time on a particular task?

➡️Look at the goal behind it and get back to basics. Eliminate any extra pieces that aren’t benefitting you, and outsource anything that you can.

Even one small shift opens up time, mental energy and sometimes even physical space…which you can then use to continue building momentum toward smoother systems in your home.

Where will you start this week? Tell me in the comments.

And if you’re still feeling stuck, send me a DM and let’s talk it out!

What if you had a plan to make sure that:

🌿 Your calendar is clear (and stayed that way?)

🌿 Your clients are taken care of

🌿 The back end of your own business (including your marketing) is running smoothly

…even when you’re unplugged and enjoying a cocktail or a good book?

This plan is exactly what we’ll create together in the Pre-Vacation Prep Plan Workshop.

It’s 3 days of live tips, strategies and conversation about setting your business (and your home) up for restful time off and an easy transition back to real life.

And did I mention it’s free?!

Are you covering all of these every week?

Sometimes we're so busy just making it through the day, just focusing on essentials that we don't take the time to step back and look at the bigger picture.

What if you didn't have to think so much about the things that keep your home running? What if they took less of your time?

Today I'm sharing how to get started with systems for your home.

You know that feeling when you walk into your house after being on vacation - your whole body tenses up, your mind starts running through a mile-long to-do list and you just want to cry?

All the laundry is dirty, things are a mess, there’s stuff everywhere…except food.

There’s no food in the house.

And then you think about opening your email for the first time in a week and your brain goes down the rabbit hole of all the things that probably went wrong in your business while you were gone.

I’m hosting a free 3-day workshop to help you avoid that whole scenario 👆.

This summer, you can go on vacation knowing that things are taken care of and holding onto those relaxed vacay vibes just a little bit longer.

We’ll cover:

☀ How to prepare your business so that you and your clients feel confident that things are handled while you’re away (and you return to the pleasant surprise that everything is totally fine!)

☀ Simple plan-ahead tips for your home so all the laundry, grocery shopping and unpacking feels way more manageable (and you can ease your way back in)

☀ The core systems that support it all

I am so excited to share this training with you! It’s everything you need for stress-free time off and an easier transition back to real life.

Here are the details:

When: May 9, 10 & 11 at 1:30 pm ET
Where: Zoom
Cost: FREE!

Replays will be available if you can’t make it live (and we’ll try not to have too much fun without you)

There’s no right or wrong answer here.

I’ve been on vacations where I plan to work a little.
I’ve been on vacations where I completely unplug.
And I’ve also had those trips where I don’t plan on working but I do anyway.

The important thing is to set an intention ahead of time and stick to it.

If you want to be fully unplugged, there are ways to make that happen.

And if it feels better to you to do a quick daily check in, that’s ok, too.

In my upcoming workshop, I’ll teach you how to prepare your business for time off that looks exactly the way you want it to.

Ready for a vacation that actually FEELS like a vacation this summer?

You're invited to my brand new, free workshop: Your Pre-Vacation Prep Plan

It's happening May 9, 10 and 11th LIVE on Zoom.

If you’re a mom running a business, and sometimes it feels like going on vacation isn’t even worth the trouble, this is the training for you!

We'll talk about how you can prepare your business so that you and your clients know that everything is taken care off and you can turn off your work brain while you’re away.

Then, we’ll get into your home and the things you can do before you leave that will help you avoid that awful feeling we sometimes get when you walk back in the door.

You know, the one where you’re immediately hit with a million things to do - There are bags to be unpacked, all the laundry’s dirty, there’s no food in the house and you feel like you have to deal with it all right away.

We're going to do away with that whole thing.

On our final day together, we'll talk about easing back into real life and, of course, tie it all back to the core systems and rhythms that will support your home and business not only when you’re on vacation but all year round.

I can’t wait to get in there with you, hear about your experiences and challenges with taking time off and help you work through some of the common challenges we all face.

Registration is open now. It’s totally free, and replays will be available if you can’t make it to the live sessions.

When you’re running your own business, you wear a lot of different hats, and it can feel like there’s never enough time in the week.

Planning your ideal workweek starts with getting clear on your goals and what exactly needs to be done.

Today, I’m sharing 4 different areas you should plan for each week in your business (and making a fun announcement!)

My youngest son is in first grade.

Recently, he was trying to do something and it didn’t work the way he thought.

He said, “Well, that didn’t work. I guess I need a different strategy.”

Yes, he used the word strategy, and yes it was adorable.

Today while doing his math homework. He said, “I have to solve this problem with a number line.” When I asked him, what if he didn’t have a number line, he answered, “I guess I could use mental math.”

My point is that #1, I think it’s so cool that he’s being taught at such a young age to have a bunch of different strategies in his toolbox.

Also, this is just how life works - and it’s the same for your systems.

Sometimes you try something out and it doesn’t work for you. It doesn’t mean your problem is unsolvable.

It just means you need a new strategy.

I can help you figure out which strategies, systems, rhythms and tools are the best fit for your home and business.

There will still be some trial and error along the way, but having an outside perspective who cares about how you naturally function, your preferences and a toolbox of different approaches can help you get there more quickly.

I while back, I was on a coffee chat with a woman I had just met in a group. We were talking about our families, our business, just getting to know each other.

As we were discussing my business and the idea of home systems, we got onto the topic of cleaning.

I told her that what we’d found works really well for us is family cleaning time every weekend. We put on some music, everyone has their jobs and we wrap it all up in an hour or so.

She said, “That would never work for me!” She explained that she hates cleaning and wouldn’t want to give up her weekend time, so she prefers to clean a certain area of the house everyday.

I’ve tried that approach (I hate cleaning, too), and realized I would never do it every day. I prefer to get it all over with in one big push.

The takeaway - whether it’s cleaning or some other aspect of your home or business, different strategies and systems work for different people.

And when we can identify your natural tendencies and preferences, along with the systems and rhythms that are already working for you, we can leverage them to make major changes in a simple way.

Sound good? Book a free 45-minutes systems strategy session with me to discuss which areas of your life feel heavy and how we can make them lighter.

“To shape our habits successfully, we must know ourselves. We can’t presume that if a habit-formation strategy works for one person, it will work just as well for everyone else, because people are very different from each other.”

- Gretchen Rubin

Know how sometimes, an idea just hits you at the right time?

I had this book on my shelf for YEARS.

I started reading it when I first got it and didn’t make it too far. I guess I lost interest.

I recently picked it up again, and I cannot get enough! I am fascinated by all of it.

And I keep thinking of more and more ideas for improving my own habits and for how I can set my clients up for even more success with their new systems and rhythms.

One of my favorite concepts in the book is the idea that our natural tendencies should inform the strategies and tools that we use, and I think this applies to the way we organize our homes and businesses, too 🌟

Setting up a system takes time and effort upfront, and you want it to be worthwhile. Your systems should support you in the long term.

That’s why a maintenance plan should be a part of setting up your system from the very beginning.

Here are some things to include in your plan:
✔ Process - Has your process changed?
✔ People - Have you added team members or changed roles?
✔ Automations and tools - If you have automations set up, check in regularly to make sure they're running the way they should.
✔ When will you do your maintenance? Set reminders or recurring tasks so that you don’t forget.

If you’ve tried setting up systems in the past but struggled to keep them going, it’s possible that a simple maintenance plan was the missing piece.

I can help you create your own plan so that the processes you put in place serve you for months or years to come.

Ready to get started? Book a free call with me at the link in my bio or https://calendly.com/jennalane/systems

Imagine you have a opt-in set up with automations to tag your new subscriber and send them an email with the freebie they signed up for.

Someone emails you to say, “Hey, I don’t know what happened, but I didn’t get my checklist.”

So, you go in to check it out, and you find that this automation has failed multiple times over the course of the past 2 months. 😩😩😩

Nobody wants to be in this situation and feel the panic that comes with it.

Automations are an amazing tool that can save you a ton of time and energy for not a lot of money.

But you’re using automations in any of your systems, part of your maintenance plan has to include check in on them from time to time.

You can do this weekly or even monthly - totally a matter of your preference and how often it is used.

Just make sure it’s on your list - with reminders!

Have you ever had something like this happen in your business? Tell me about it in the comments 👇

Imagine how you feel in each of these scenarios:

1: Your to-do list is a mile long, but you think you can get it all done. But you run out of time with several tasks remaining.

2: You complete your task list with time to spare.

We tend to underestimate how long tasks and projects will take.

But if you’re aware of this tendency, you can factor it into your plan.

Add time on to your initial estimate.

Once you’ve laid out your Q2 plan, what can you do to make sure that you actually follow through?

Schedule time to map out your plan - and block your calendar (if you have already done this, you’re a step ahead!)

Choose your top priority for this quarter and break it down into bite-sized steps (remember to plan for before, during and after - don’t forget about those follow-up tasks!)

Plug your tasks into a project management tool (like Trello) and add due dates to everything

Use weekly time blocks to complete the tasks in your plan (I recommend including blocks each week for client work, marketing/content creation, admin and CEO time)

Need a safe place to store your plan? There is a section specifically for your Q2 plan in my free Trello dashboard template. All you have to do is plug in your tasks and due dates!

Ever have that feeling that what you say is important and the way you’re actually spending your time aren’t quite matching up?

You get to the end of a season, a year, and you're like, “Whoa, what just happened? That's not what I meant it to be.”

“Where did the time go? How did this slip away from me?”

What do you do when you notice that you've gotten off track? Often, it starts by noticing something that you’ve missed out on or something that just doesn’t feel quite right.

Local foods are a big deal to me, and this fall, I had this experience looking back on the summer and noticing that I neglected my garden, hardly visited my local farmers market and I didn’t do much of the canning that I normally do.

Once you notice that something is off, the next step is finding clarity on your values and priorities.

Is this something that is truly still important to you, or did you not follow through because your priorities and goals have shifted (either answer is okay, btw).

Decide if you want to make a change. Do you want to let it go, or do you want to try to do better next time?

If you decide to refocus and give it another shot, this is where your systems, rhythms and habits come into play.

Make a plan that outlines clearly what you want to do, when and how often. What actions will you take, and what tools or support will you need to be successful?

👉️ I talked about my own experience with this on a recent Facebook Live. You can find on my page or YouTube video titled “Finding Simplicity and Joy in Your Plan.” Links in bio.

Birds are chirping and it’s light out past 5 pm, beautiful things are on the horizon!

If you are ready to take spring on and make this the season when you feel like you come back to life, you have more energy, you're doing things that you enjoy and things are just flowing more smoothly, I can help you do it.

One of my superpowers is taking a jumbled mass of thoughts, ideas, plans and projects that are in your head and pulling them out and creating a structure around them so that you can actually follow through on your plans and goals.

Sometimes we have so many ideas bouncing around our heads, it can be hard to make sense of it all. Where do you start? What should you really be focusing on right now?

I will help you get more clear on where you want to focus your attention and your energy in this season.

Get started today by booking a free 45 minute session, where we'll talk about what you want to get out of your spring season, one thing that you really want to make sure is going to happen and how we can build that into your plan and make sure that it actually does.

Hi there! I’m Jenna...

And I’m on a mission to help you launch your next online course or program with success, not stress!

I’m a past project and program coordinator with a knack for organizing, simplifying and helping the everyday things run smoothly. Now, I’m a work-from-home mama building an online business, and I’m committed to supporting other women on their business journeys, as well.

I started out as a virtual assistant (and still work with VA clients today), but it wasn’t long before I started daydreaming about what else was out there in the online business space.

Enter funnel design…
