My design process is *whatever works*; sometimes it’s a collage; sometimes it’s messy; sometimes it’s crazy detailed.
Making mockups can also be the hardest part of the entire process- it’s a stage that all other stages rely on. Trying to get the millions of creative ideas in my head onto a blueprint to work from is a challenge. Artist block is SO ANNOYING. But don’t stop creating until you’re actually happy with your design.
A reminder to artists- mock ups are art too! I charge clients $50 before starting any of the designing. Nowadays, when my clients receive their digital art mockup, they also receive a statement about the art, an explanation of why I chose the elements I did, what will be different about the final version, etc…
And as you can see, sometimes my final products turn out exactly like the mockup, and sometimes way better. I just do whatever works.
