I’ve seen Hamilton a few times now and I’m always so impressed by the show. From the actors themselves to the intricate choreography and scene changes, I never get bored. When the opportunity came to snag some group tickets with for a night out at the theatre, we jumped on it! Group pricing is too good to pass up! Ask me more in the comments if you are interested!

I love that the girls not only experienced this show with our family but also with their friends and fellow theatre lovers their age. I now can officially say my whole family has seen Hamilton and they all loved it! 🤩 Addie had been looking forward to it and was so thrilled to finally be “In The Room Where It Happens!”

After the show we were so honored to meet Alexander Hamilton himself, who is, to put it simply, perfect as Hamilton.

How would you handle your child getting hurt by another child? That’s the question that you are contemplating after you witness the 2009 Tony award winning play God of Carnage. As a parent this show hits on many levels and engages in themes that are very much relevant in today’s society. But you don’t have to be a parent to understand or enjoy the show because at the end of the day it’s really about human nature. God of Carnage brilliantly exposes how thin the veneer of civility really is when chaos and conflict bubble to the surface.

Directed by the exceptional Kim Quinn whose sharp vision and creativity drive this unforgettable production. The small but mighty cast includes the phenomenal Andrea Lwin (Annette), the magnetic Kristian Kordula (Alan), the commanding Olga Konstantulakis (Veronica), and the dynamic Eric Larson (Michael), all of whom equally shine and expertly carry this riveting show. I can’t help but shout out Andrea because without spoilers she really knows how to make you queasy. IYKYK

S U G A R 🩷 D A D D Y 🧸

is outstanding! A truly groundbreaking comedy show about love, growth, and grief. Sam Morrison pours himself into his art and shares his powerful true story.

Sam shares his wild ride packed with big belly laughs and small tender kisses. Where seagull attacks are more vicious than a New York mugger. Where threesomes and steamy shower s*x send Jehovah’s Witnesses running to their pamphlets. Oh, and where there’s a (double gasp!) surprise diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes! Along the way, Sam reminds us that the only thing sweeter than laughter is love.

🪴Don’t feed the plants but do go see Little Shop of Horrors that is currently in performances at South Coast Repertory!

Fun fact: I played the role of Ronette, one of the Urchins or Narrators, if you will. It was my second show during my freshman year of high school and I absolutely fell in love with everything about the show.

🎶It’s quirky and campy score has been a favorite of mine for a very long time. Based on the 1960’s B movie, the off broadway musical premiered in 1982 with a memorable score written by Alan Mencken and Howard Ashman, the same composers who wrote The Little Mermaid! Where are my Disney fans at?! Little Shop of Horrors is a dark, satirical musical set in the 60’s about a lovestruck and meek man named Seymour and his discovery of the unique and interesting plant Audrey II. 🪴

I have seen various productions of this show because it is a favorite of mine and This production truly blew me away! The sets were beautifully done and the lighting was and really made the scenes dynamic. The Audrey II puppet was OUTSTANDING! 👏🏼👏🏼I’ve seen a few productions because I love the show so much and this was by far the coolest puppet I’ve seen! It was HUGE! How fun for these cast members and great job to puppeteer,

It was so exciting visiting South Coast Rep as it was my first time. The theatre is small and intimate which i really enjoyed. Every seat is a great one! 🎭

This cast did such a great job! They brought a lot of character into their roles especially the ladies who played the trio of street urchins. .me.analisa Yes I’m biased! Haha just kidding. was wonderful as Audrey and her vocal was lovely on the classic Somewhere That’s Green. Outstanding ensemble as well!

I am hoping to see this amazing show one more time but don’t miss your chance to see it!

Finally Everly is 🎶 In the Room Where It Happens! 🎶

Quick story time about my love for !! I fell in love with the show instantly when I heard the music and so in December of 2015, I was 5 months pregnant with Everly and in New York City for work and so for Christmas, Jeff surprised me with a ticket to see Hamilton!!! It was such a special moment and I remember holding my belly as the show was being performed just so excited to hopefully one day share this show with my baby girl! I even bought a Hamilton onesie to celebrate! Swipe to see!

Flash forward to last night! Broadway in Hollywood invited me to check out opening night at the and so I had the honor of bringing Everly along! She was super excited and stayed awake for the entire show! It’s a long one at 2 hours and 45 min. While she has watched the live capture on Disney + there’s nothing quite like seeing it live! She loved it so much and it made for a really special evening between us! I’m forever grateful for these moments. while there is some PG-13 content, I think she is mature enough and at great age to see the show.

Hamilton is such an inspirational piece of theatre. From the story itself of Alexander Hamilton and the Founding Fathers, to the creator and his incredible vision and song writing. Hamilton takes history and literally turns it upside down. This is a show that I suggest that everyone seebecause I feel like there’s something for all of us to understand and love.

Sitting in the school pickup line, dreaming about my last trip to Disneyland for 2023. 🏰✨🥹

I didn’t renew my Magic Key and I don’t think it’s hit me quite yet. 2024 seems to be jam packed full of shows and makeup for me so I am taking a short break from the parks. I’m not stressing though because they have the SoCal passes that are a great deal for our family in the spring.

I commemorated my last trip by dressing up in my vintage velvet purple dress that matches perfectly with the Disney 100 decor! I’m felt like a princess the whole day!

👏🏼Inherit The Wind is an absolute MUST SEE!! 👏🏼

What an incredibly important piece of theatre that is currently gracing the stage at the historic

“Inherit The Wind is the story of two of the nation’s leading lawyers go head-to-head in the ultimate battle of wit, wisdom, and will in this powerful drama. In a fresh production boldly reimagined for today, will this small-town courtroom bring us together or tear the nation apart?” - Pasadena Playhouse Website

was absolute perfection as Henry Drummond, as soon as he came on stage his presence was captivating.

was incredibly moving as Matthew Harrison Brady. His energy for this role was charming and by the end we were feeling all the feels for him.

One thing I really loved about this play is the attention to detail on the costumes! There was a mix of contemporary pieces mixed with 1920 inspired garments as well. A great way to show the audience that this story is timeless and still occurring today.

was a delight as the snarky journalist E.K. Hornbeck. He really made me invested in this character.
was absolutely amazing as Rachel Brown. Her tears brought me to tears and I’m just enthralled by her performance.

shined so bright as the accused teacher, Bertram Cates. His tears brought tears to my eyes and I loved his thought provoking performance.

it was a pleasure seeing you on stage in this role! Absolutely loved it and I’m thrilled I got to meet you after! I should have grabbed a pic!

Hi, I’m Melissa or as I’m called here MagicWithMelissa - Makeup Artist, Mom, Wife, Theatre enthusiast, Disney lover and sometimes singer 🎶

On this I wanted to share more photos of my day backstage at the - what a magical day that was.

Part of being a season ticket holder is this Open House day that I attended, it was not an exclusive influencer event which I think is fantastic! As a season ticket member, attending this event creates a great sense of community which just goes to show how much the wants you to feel like you are the magic of the theatre! Without your support and love for theatre, the Pantages wouldn’t be what it is. My favorite part of this event is learning about all of the fascinating history that has taken place since it’s opening in 1930.

🌟✨ Don't miss out on the magical mayhem that's been lighting up the Ahmanson Theatre✨🎭 Peter Pan Goes Wrong closes THIS weekend!

I had the best time seeing this show again but this time with my whole family. Not everyone is pictured because life happened and I didn’t grab a full family shot 😫
So many amazing friends in the audience and we all agreed that this show is absolutely fantastic! Thanks for coming out and supporting live theatre

Y’all know that I love this talented and dedicated cast, and at the helm of this zany ship, the incredible Neil Patrick Harris as Narrator! 🎩📖 His charm and wit have added an extra layer of magic to this already spellbinding production. 🪄🧚‍♂️

Since dropped the news of the Eras Tour movie coming out on October 13!!!! I started looking back on my pictures and realized I never shared the close ups of my makeup!

My look was a mix of Reputation and Lover - two of my favorite albums. I asked Jeff to take pictures of me with the trees in the background because I also love Evermore and Folklore 😂 I had my thumb nails painted baby blue for 1989 and of course her classic Red lip 💋. Do you think my cat eye is sharp enough to kill a man? 🐈‍⬛😆😳

I had soooo much fun with this outfit. I started randomly buying things over the months and this is what it turned out like.

I never thought I would get the chance to sing solo at Disneyland but Villains Nite let me live out my dream! 🎶🎤💜🖤 The #disneylandafterdark event featured a karaoke stage and when I found that out I was so excited to try my luck to participate! I put my name in fairly early in the night and only waited about 30 mins to sing. I could have chosen almost any song, though singing anything from The Little Mermaid was strictly forbidden because it was Ursula’s stage. I chose Since You’ve Been Gone because it’s one of my favorites to belt out. Forgive any mistakes because I haven’t sang this in a while and I kinda just pulled it together for the night! 😆 This was so fun and even better, throughout the night people who saw me sing kept coming up and saying hi! As you wait in line you can see many of the family’s doors lit up as if they are using their powers! Mirabel even pointed out that she brought along the candle, which is burning bright, to show us that Casita is doing well! Just don’t mention you know who!
