Let Go of The Lines - SV Cold Fact Let’s witness the beauty of the world together through my photos as I explore the great outdoors. I'm a Country Island girl. Tree branches are my comfort zone.

Climber by a habit, hiker by heart but sailing is my love and passion. I live to explore the great outdoors while taking photographs. Aboard a good ship sailing vessel Cold Fact..

It is quite a humbling experience to explore this very remote and undeveloped piece of land in Mexico. With our very limited Spanish, we were able to interact with a few local fishermen and bought some fish for tonight’s dinner..

I wish I could share with you all the amazing things we saw underway to Bahia Santa Maria to inspire you to go out there and explore. Yesterday alone we saw 3 whales, 2 of them were 50-100 feet from our boat. One of them showed us the fantastic display of its fin which answered my question: why am I here in such a small space and stressing myself out because things keep falling apart or get broken.. Yes, there is a risk aboard a small craft but the benefits and reward is way bigger than the risk itself..

I won’t also deny the fact that sleeping underway is a real problem especially when you have big waves coming to your boat side to side and I may also add all the creaking that the boat makes when it’s moving.. But then again, these are all temporary until you get yo your destination, to these remote places that are merely visited by people because it is either very remote or simply inaccessible by cars or planes..

Here’s some spectacular views we have seen that I would like to share with you from our 32 hours passage yesterday from sunrise to sunset..

Bahia Asuncion.. Ah, so many things have happened in this anchorage.. My patience and critical thinking had been tested.. I was physically, emotionally and mentally challenged.. Sailing lifestyle should have come with a slogan “How far can you go?” Because seriously, I started to wonder!!
