On Thursday, August 15th 2024, Officers with the Roanoke City Police Department Violence Suppression Unit placed Tesha Camelle Joyce in custody, without incident.
Tesha Camelle Joyce was given NO BOND, and will have her first appearance in Roanoke VA, tomorrow.
The Eden Police Department would like to thank Roanoke Police Department - VA for their assistance in capturing Tesha Camelle Joyce.

On Monday, August 12, 2024, at approximately 11:56 PM, Officers with the Eden Police Department, Eden Fire Department and Leaksville Rual 210 Fire Department responded to 2388 Harrington Highway in reference to a structure fire. All parties that were inside the residence were able to escape without injury. Fire Crews were able to extinguish the fire, which caused extensive damage to the home and a vehicle.
After a thorough investigation, Detective Kirkland learned the fire was started with malice. After consultation with the Rockingham County District Attorney's Office, the suspect, Tesha Camelle Joyce of Roanoke Virginia, has been charged with 1st Degree Arson. At this time, Tesha’s whereabouts are unknown. The Eden Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in location Tesha Camelle Joyce.
