Episode 7 is live on Spotify & Apple podcasts!

This episode features the brilliant Kurtis Vanderpool as he shares about the loss of his brother in law, as well as a mother figure in his life.

Kurtis is a life coach with a ton of great insight. What I loved the most about this interview was the emphasis on how to come alongside a spouse or family in their grief.

Check it out and let me know what you think! 🖤

I'm incredibly humbled to announce that in the coming weeks I'll be interviewing Nick Watts on the loss of his son, Jordan Watts to su***de.

I know that a lot of people in my community loved and were impacted by Jordan's life.

What questions do you have for Nick, and if you knew Jordan, how do you want him to be remembered?

“Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.”

-Jamie Anderson

"No one ever told me that grief felt so like fear. I am not afraid, but the sensation is like being afraid. The same fluttering in the stomach, the same restlessness, the yawning. I keep on swallowing.

At other times it feels like being mildly drunk, or concussed. There is a sort of invisible blanket between the world and me. I find it hard to take in what anyone says. Or perhaps, hard to want to take it in. It is so uninteresting." - C.S. Lewis

Thank you so much for all of the encouragement and support. Your messages and stories about your experiences with grief solidified my desire to do this and what I believe is a genuine need in our culture.

My vision is two fold. First, I want to put out quality content on grief starting with a podcast. The plan is to have guests on who want to share their stories, therapists, experts, and more.

The podcast will officially launch July 1st of this year, what would've been my Dad's 71st birthday.

Second, I want to a real community around the show. I want the conversation to move forward and I want for people to not feel like they are alone in their hurt.

That is why I've also created The Grief Show Community, a private Facebook group where we can discuss our journeys with grief and support one another. You can find it in the Groups tab on this page, or by searching for The Grief Show Community.

I'm excited to build this out. Thank you for everything. 🖤
