There’s nothing quite like being transported to medieval times on search for the Book of the Dead whilst fight off an army of ghouls. This movie is a wild ride and such a fun watch! Who else is excited for Evil Dead Rise?

📺HORROR HISTORY📺 On this day in 1959 House on Haunted Hill was released into cinemas. One of the first names when thinking of classic horror is Vincent Price. His voice is a full on portal of sense memory, taking us by the hand into the darkness and macabre of the past. I would gladly spend a night in any haunted house with Vincent and company. Especially if there’s $10K on the line, which is almost $100K after inflation. Would you spend the night in the House on Haunted Hill?

📺HORROR HISTORY📺 On this day in 1991 The Silence of the Lambs was released in theaters. The film was an award magnet and took home 5 Academy Awards among others and really made Hollywood start taking horror/ thrillers a bit more seriously. Personally I can never shake some of the moments in this movie and am pretty sure no one has ever looked at lotion the same way since 🐑

Playing on fear, paranoia and coincidental horrors, this franchise made us all look over our shoulders a bit more often. This one in particular made us fearful of shotty roller coasters and tanning beds. Sometimes the mundane can be the scariest scenario. Be safe out there, creeps!

📺HORROR HISTORY📺 On this day in 2000 Scream 3 was released in theaters. This may be ran unpopular opinion but we love this entry into the Scream franchise! It brought us the iconic Gale Weathers baby bangs, a killer opening sequence with Cotton and an off the wall cameo from Jay and Silent Bob. What’s your favorite Scream movie? 📺HORROR HISTORY📺 On this day in 2011 The Innkeepers was released in theaters. We don’t like to use the term “underrated” often but I would most definitely put this film in that category. The Innkeepers is well constructed and acted film with fun ghostly visuals and a soundtrack that is equally as haunting. We highly recommend giving it a rewatch or first viewing 📼
