CHELLAH TUKUTA GIVEN TWO YEARS

Lusaka High Court Judge Lameck Mwale who is sitting as Lusaka Magistrate has found Chelle Tukuta, a UPND Presidential Photographer, guilty for defaming former Chief Government Spokesperson and Minister of Information Dola Siliya.

Judge Lameck Mwale has sentenced Mr Tukuta,34 years, to two years imprisonment with hard labour.

Chellah Tukuta who accused the former Minister of hooking up girls to high profile people like ministers and permanent secretaries was charged with criminal libel, the charge he denied.

And passing judgement today,Judge Lameck Mwale said the evidence was overwhelming and found Tukuta guilty thereby sending him to prison.

Hakainde Hichilema's Presidential Photographer Chellah Tukuta who is accused of defaming former Information Minister and Chief Government Spokesperson Dola Siliya has arrived at Lusaka Magistrate Court for Judgment.

Mr Tukuta,34 years old is facing allegations of Criminal libel of the former Minister whom he accused for hooking up girls for high profile people like ministers and permanent secretaries the charges he denied.

Chellah Tukuta also allegedly defamed Zambia Revenue Authority ,ZRA, Commissioner General, Kingsley Chanda,for taking advantage of his position and give his companies Ciltax and Nishati businesses.

Judge Lameck Mwale sitting as magistrate will deliver the judgement today.

The Covid 19 situation in Zambia has spiraled out of control.Medical reports say Zambia is getting 4000 plus new infections daily.

Schools and bars has since been closed.

The Zambian hospitals and mortuaries are reported to be full.

Zambia has vaccinated less than 1% of it's population.The Ministry of health in Zambia is encouraging Citizens to get vaccinated.

And election strategiest,Paul Zulu,has called on the Electoral commission of Zambia to consider banning door to door campaign as it may contribute in the spread of the virus.

Mr Zulu says, Political parties can use media platforms to campaign.

Zambia will go to the polls on August 12,2021.

The body of late Chief Justice Ireen Mambilima who died in Caro, Egypt, while on official duty has arrived at Kenneth Kaunda International airport.

Government has since given the late Chief Justice a three days State funeral which begins tomorrow Thursday.

MIKE MPOSHA BEATEN BY HIS CADRES.

UPND caders last night attacked their aspiring Candidates for Munali Constituency Mike Mposha for failing to give them beer during the night campaign in Avondale, Lusaka.

But Mr Mposha is accusing Max Chongu of the PF as one of the lead caders who attacked him.
In him Facebook post, Mike Mposha posted "We have badly been attacked by PF thugs led by Max in Avondale," the post reads in part.

The UPND aspiring Candidate for Munali Constituency, indicates that the struggle is real, and he is ready to die.

Few week ago,Mr Mike Mposha's team was chased by residents of Kalikiliki Compound and his campaign Van nearly set on fire.The UPND campaign team and the Van were only rescued by the police and well wishers.

We are saddened by the lose of two lives, even if they started it, they don't deserve to be killed.

But we see this as the beginning.
We see Mpulungu formula growing and spreading to all parts of the country soon.

Today they're using stones, tomorrow it will be pangas, the next day it will be guns, bombs and so forth, and Zambia will be deep in flames, and no one will be there to quench her.
Innocent citizens more especially the women and children will suffer most.

We are appealing to our political leaders, especially the two Political Parties, namely the Patriotic Front and United Party For National Development to tame their followers.

We pray and hope that it ends soon before things get worse.

UPND Eastern Province Chairman Johabie Mtonga 's family last night survived an attempted petrol bomb attack by unknown people around 02:30 hours.

And Eastern Province Police Commissioner Gaza Lungu has confirmed receiving reports of the incident.The commissioner says investigation into the matter is ongoing.
