On July 27th, I lost my only client, and I didn’t have any backups.

It was a tough day, but thankfully, my client was kind enough to keep me on the payroll until September, giving me some breathing room to find another job. I’m so grateful for that generosity.

From that moment, I didn’t stop searching.

I applied to different jobs, went to interviews, tweaked my portfolio, and sent out samples of my work.

But nothing worked out. I’m still waiting to hear back from a few, so fingers crossed!

Then, a friend referred me to a potential client.

We had a discovery call on a Friday, and she said she’d get back to me by Wednesday.

But when I followed up, she needed one more day to decide. That wait was so nerve-wracking—what if she said no?

But I reminded myself of my mantra: what’s meant for me will always find me.

So, I let go and trusted the process.

And guess what? Yesterday, she messaged me on WhatsApp and offered me the role! 🎉

I’m so happy and relieved!

If you’re also waiting for something, don’t lose hope.

Believe that what’s meant for you will always come your way.

Sometimes, you have lots of work to do, but you realize that time is seriously against you.

Maybe you even become so worried that you no longer know where to start.

Perhaps you have tried your best, but you’ve not been quick enough to complete each task on time, and each of them now piles up in front of you.

If this sounds familiar, there are several things you can do to help yourself: 😉

1. Wake up very early

Early risers tend to concentrate better and be more alert and energized throughout the day. You have more time to focus on important tasks while the rest of the world is asleep.

2. Create a to-do list

Have a plan to follow by writing down what needs doing each day and then checking them off one by one until all are done! This will help keep track of what needs doing and how much time is being left until it's done.

3. Do the challenging tasks first

Start with the tasks that appear most difficult. You should make it a habit to arrange your tasks in the order in which you want to perform them. Doing the hardest task first will create momentum in your day.

4. Take away all the distracting items

You need to be focused on the current task at hand and not on what's going on outside of it. Taking away all the distracting items from your desk will help raise your productivity and prevent distractions like checking your phone or using other devices too often.

5. Focus your energy on one task

Doing just one thing at a time brings more attention to your work. When you multitask, you can even get lost and have to start the task all over again. Instead of doing each work halfway, why not devote your time to one task and do it well?

6. Always set deadlines

Create a sense of urgency within your mind. If deadlines are set for tasks, it makes it easier to organize your work. Deadlines lead to natural adherence to a flow of work.
