বাস্তবতা!

গ্রামের তুলনায় শহরের মানুষ অধিক সহজসরল এবং উদার হয়ে থাকে। শহরের মানুষের মধ্যে হিংসা সাধারণত কম থাকে। এর কারণ হচ্ছে, শহরের মানুষকে জীবনধারণের জন্য অনেক বেশি ব্যস্ত সময় পার করতে হয়! তারা অন্যের সমালোচনা করার মতো সময়ই পায় না।
আর গ্রামের অধিকাংশ মানুষ বছরের অধিকাংশ সময় তেমন কোনো কাজই করে না। দিনের কিছু সময় টুকটাক কাজ করে বিকেলে চা দোকানের আড্ডাকে তারা গীবতের কারখানা বানিয়ে ছাড়ে! পরিবারের কেউ না কেউ শহর বা বিদেশ থেকে টাকা পাঠায়, আর পরিবারের সবাই মিলে তাতে ফুটানি করে!!
গ্রামে অধিকাংশ ক্ষেত্রে একটি পরিবার আরেকটি পরিবারের বিরুদ্ধে যুগের পর যুগ অকারণেই লেগে থাকে। একজন লোক আরেকজন লোকের বিরুদ্ধে লেগে থাকাটাই যেন স্বাভাবিক। বাকীরা কখনো সে সব বিরোধ মিটাবার চেষ্টাও করে না। বরং গ্রাম্য বিরোধগুলো টিকিয়ে রাখাকেই তারা নিজেদের ঐতিহ্য বানিয়ে নিয়েছে। কিছু লোক এই বিরোধ উস্কে দেয়ার ইন্ধনও প্রদান করে। আবার কিছু লোক বিরোধ মীমাংসার উদ্যোগ নেয় বটে কিন্তু মীমাংসার নাম করে উভয়পক্ষ থেকেই টাকা নেয়! যা লাভজনক!
একটি মেয়ের বিয়ে দিতে গেলে বুঝা যায় গ্রামের মানুষ কতো সহজসরল। আর যদি কোন মেয়ের সংসার ভেঙ্গে যায় কোন কারণে তাহলে বুঝতে পারবেন ও সমাজের মানুষের মুখে কতো বিষ! একটি পরিবার যদি একটু ভাল আয় উন্নতি করে তাহলে আত্মীয় অনাত্মীয় প্রতিবেশী ও দূরবর্তী সবাই তাদের ক্ষতি কামনায় উঠেপড়ে লাগে!! শহরে সাধারণত এমনটি দেখা যায় না।
এদের অলস মস্তিষ্ক গ্রামের নির্মল প্রাকৃতিক সবুজ পরিবেশকে বাস অনুপযোগী ও দূষিত করে ছাড়ে! দীর্ঘ দিন শহরে থাকা মানুষ তাই ইচ্ছে করলেও গ্রামে শান্তিতে থাকতে পারে না।
অথচ অনেকেই স্বপ্ন দেখেন, কর্মজীবন শেষে আবার গ্রামের সবুজ শ্যামল পরিবেশে বাকী জীবনটা কাটাবেন!! গ্রামের পরিবেশ যতো সুন্দর, মানুষগুলোর চিন্তাধারা ততোধিক জটিল। কিছু ব্যতিক্রম তো আছেই!!
