I Ascend Magazine is honored to have Mighty Mike C, for the July 2024 Issue.

The Mighty Mike C is an Author, Podcast Host, and Member of The Fearless 4, the very first Hip Hop Group to sign to a major label. The Fearless Four is an American old-school hip-hop group from Harlem, New York that emerged in the early 1980s. Comprised of members DLB, Peso, Tito, and Mike C, they are known for their high-energy performances, clever lyrics, and innovative beats. Their record, "Rockin It," is considered a classic in the early years of hip-hop and is credited with helping to shape the sound of the genre. The Fearless Four quickly gained recognition for their unique style and charismatic stage presence. They were known for their intricate rhyme schemes, inventive wordplay, and catchy hooks. Their music was a fusion of funk, disco, and hip-hop, which helped to set them apart from other groups at the time.

"Rockin It" was released in 1982 and became an instant hit. The song's infectious beat and catchy lyrics captured the spirit of the burgeoning hip-hop scene in New York City. It quickly became an anthem for the city's youth, who were drawn to The Fearless Four's raw energy and bold attitude. The group's success with "Rockin It" led to a record deal with Elektra Records, where they released their debut album, "Fearless Four," in 1983. The album received critical acclaim, and the group gained a loyal following. Their live performances became legendary, with fans flocking to see them perform at venues across the city. So can I talk about Saturday's "Boss Ladies" Business Mixer. We had a small group of women that came out and it was a delight to meet them, laugh, and share. I also saw a Dynamic woman of God that I adore. To hear her share a little bit about me (I had no idea she was going to do that) when she spoke she shared that I have impacted her with some firsts in her life. It was humbling because I never quite saw it like that or even thought of it. She is a Phenomenal Woman who is a Powerful Apostle-Prophetess, Author, Playwright, and so on. I sat yesterday reflecting on having been that in some way to so many by way of a Magazine Cover, Article, Putting people on Televised Podcasts and Conference Platforms, and Helping people become Authors, to name a few things I do.

I didn't just arrive. People who meet you think you just got started yesterday. No, I've been here for decades, working and plowing the fields God has given me. I have moments where the curtains pull back, and I'm on the stage, and then I politely exit and place others on that Platform. I thank God for the time these few ladies spent with me, and I hope to see them again in the near future, partnering and collaborating. I appreciated the moment to ponder as it is always a sign of what's ahead in this new venture I'm embarking on, and I expect nothing less than a Great Impact!!!

To God Be The Glory As He Continues To Unfold My Story. 🙏

It was there that the singer joined the school's popular glee club, which afforded him a chance to tour extensively and sing for Oprah Winfrey, Stevie Wonder, Bobby Jones, and Ray Charles, among others. It was God's divine timing that Dr. Jones attended Pastor Creflo Dollar's World Changers Church, where he sang in the choir. During a solo performance, Jones caught the attention of the congregation's youth pastor, and not long after, he made his recorded debut for the Holy Hip Hop label. With numerous awards and accolades, Dr. Jones's continued success has led him to operate his own label and outlet. We are honored to have J. Wells Jr. for our March 2024 Cover.

J. Wells Jr.'s acting career continues to evolve and landed him a Stunt Role in the Jabari Tribe in the notable Black Panther Wakanda Forever Movie. "J." as he is affectionately known, love for acting started in church as a youth. He landed the role of Troy Maxson in August Wilson's Fences and this role aided him in getting a theatre scholarship. J. has starred in hit T.V. shows such as "Murder by Numbers" as Detective Chris Johnson and American Nightmare as Anthony Pugh. He played the lead in the remake of the feature film "When a Woman Loves a Man."

The role in Wakanda Forever was a blessing and a major turning point in his career. The stunt team for "Black Panther" took home a SAG Award for best stunt ensemble in a motion picture. J's training in Karate played a significant role in obtaining his spot on the Jabari Tribe. This passion for Martial Arts gave him the necessary skills to learn the fight choreography. His passion for karate eventually led to his travel to Okinawa to train with masters of Goju Ryu Karate. While there, he earned his 4th degree Black Belt and became part of history by setting a Guinness Book of World Records for most people performing a kata at one time. Okay, Bare with me Long Post! You Know I don't do these often.

Can I Talk About Yesterday & The Word this Morning! God will Set You Up so He can Set You Loose!!!

The Meeting yesterday was not taped as it was a Private Session meant only to Speak to the Faculty & Staff of NGBBI. At the end of our Gathering Every Faculty & Staff Member touched & Agreed in Prayer for Me as they pointed their hands in my direction. OMG, can I talk about that! These Men & Women of God are those Fire Baptized we don't play about Sanctification Saints! It was a Family Reunion for Me where I Got prayed for by the Elders, Patriarchs, and Matriarchs of the House! Many of them were teachers of mine when I was a Student there. I pulled an old Student Chapel Service where students in training conducted a service from way back on October 29, 2001. Doesn't seem that long ago. My point is They have been fully committed to God and Service, so I know they have some Holy Ghost Power which is so missing in these times!

Then this morning, can I talk about this morning. A Confirming Word came forth through Morning Manna, and it Rang Clear. "Get Back on Track in Ministering The Gospel." I put things on hold during COVID-19 as many did, but I never Got back on the wheel. I have been working in other capacities but not Ministering the Gospel as in Preaching & Teaching. I am Realigning, Shifting, and Moving in Obedience to return to my Love of Teaching and Ministering the Word. I said all that to say I'll See You Soon At A Church Service, YouTube Service, IG Service, TikTok Service, a Conference, and Whatever Service God confirms as an Assignment for Me!! Those who know me pray for my strength in the Lord. Those who don't yet get ready to meet me because it's a New Season, It's A New Day, and a Fresh Anointing Is Coming Your Way!!! 🙏🙏🙌🙌
