And, we’re back!

Project Prom at the Waxhaw Woman’s Club will be held this year on Saturday, March 8th from 11 – 5.
In preparation for the event, we are asking for donations of “gently used” gowns, evening bags, and sparkly jewelry. Please see our poster for donation details.

Over the years, the ladies of the Waxhaw Woman’s Club have enjoyed helping many local young women find the perfect dress for their big night - over 1000 actually. The excitement the girls bring to this event and the thrill when they find the “perfect” dress, is such a joy to witness. And the perfect dress is about so much more than the color or the style – it’s about self-confidence, poise, and spirit.

So, if at the back of your closet you have a prom gown, bridesmaid dress or a formal consider donating it for this event. Send a young woman off on her very special evening feeling as beautiful as she looks.

😡DRUG SEIZURE☠️

Waxhaw Narcotics Investigators making a difference! Who knows where these dangerous drugs would have ended up at.
On 01/23/2025 Waxhaw Narcotics, with the assistance of North Carolina SHP and HSI concluded an ongoing investigation which yielded with the arrest of (2) Defendants and the seizure of EIGHT KILOS of Fentanyl. Once again, this arrest shows the importance of utilizing other agencies to assist us with our investigations. The Waxhaw Police Department is thoroughly committed to combat the war on drugs and to protect our fellow citizens.
As always, the Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
