Before 12 weeks, short naps are normal, it is in some ways a means of defense against SIDs.
After if your kid has his circadian rythm (he knows the difference between day and night) and he still get short naps you can help him.
Here's a list of tips you can try to help him sleep longer:
1. Close the shutters so the room is dark
2. Use a machine or stuffed toy that plays white noise or pink noise
3. About 10 minutes before he wakes up, enter the room, give him his pacifier or gently stroke his back or belly while saying sweet words. This way he will move on more easily to a second sleep cycle.

There is no magical bedtime routine to help your kid to sleep.
For example I don't bath my kids before bed because I noticed they were way too excited after that.
You have to find the routine that is adapted to your baby. Once you found it just know that it may change a little bit as you child grow.

Yeah well guess what? I wouldn't have done this if the solution was to let them cry.
I did it because they deserve parents just as amazing as they are. And I was so tired I couldn't be that parent, so I found a gentle solution that didn't require to break our bond.
🔥They grew up more independant but I'm glad to Say I'm still their safe place. Sometimes we even take naps together and I'm proud of them.
