Grateful to be able to release 3 singles, work on 2 remixes, and release a new album in 2024. I’d love to have done more but life’s a juggle, right?!

This little bundle of tunes is out on all streaming services. But also available to order on vinyl, which is way, way cooler😃.

By the way, the manufacturer gets 66% (high because it is made on-demand, not mass produced) and I get 34%. Although this sounds low, I would need about 3000 streams on Spotify to make the same amount! (£10.) Soooooo, every kind buyer can sleep very soundly knowing they are directly helping to fund my next few tunes👏🤓

I’m sure it’s been a busy time for everyone ! Personally, I’m 3 Christmas parties down and 2 band rehearsals, and I’m still alive😆. Plus a fleeting trip to Venice with the family, which was really special.

It has been great to get feedback on the album release since last Friday. There have been some really positive comments, and (of course) some constructive criticism. All of which is very welcome.

As a producer, you are always learning. They say you need to put in 10,000 hours of practice to become an expert in anything, whatever the pursuit. I’m not there yet, but the journey is very rewarding!

Some folks say the album is dead in the era of streaming anything you want, and infinite playlists. But I still think albums have value. As an artist, it gives you space to create something more than the sum of the parts. To take listeners on an intentional journey. And to collate a body of work that can complete one creative direction and signal a future change of course. For listeners, by streaming or buying the album, they have the opportunity to support the artist at a deeper level than a casual stream of a track in a playlist… both financially and emotionally.

Temptation. It’s all around, particularly within the small handheld screen of the ubiquitous modern smart phone. A constant evil waiting to pounce. We have to stay strong. Have integrity. For the vinyl junkies out there…. thanks to the folks at elasticStage and un:hurd, my latest release is available on vinyl!

Some fancy new technology means it is manufactured on demand when an order is placed. I have the first copy in my hands, and it is a very special feeling to have that almost
forgotten tactile experience again… unwrapping the cellophane, looking at the cover, taking the inner sleeve out, and of course the sleek black shiny record inside it! Sounds great too 😉

This album won’t hit streaming services for another 2 weeks, so fast buyers will be ahead of the curve!

What a privilege to host The Berkshire EMOM ( Electronic Music Open Mic ) Project November sessions, yesterday evening. So many electronic artists from around the area coming together to perform… what a talented bunch! It was a throughly enjoyable night of beats, beeps, basslines, beautiful synths… and meeting nice folks.
The FireFly Cellar Bar in Reading was the ideal venue too. I hope we can be back there again in early 2025! (Join the FB group linked above to keep updated)
