Time to act! The PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act (S. 1658/H.R. 3110) will extend the Break Time for Nursing Mother’s Act to nearly 9 million more workers across the U.S. who were excluded from gaps in the previous act - including teachers and nurses- to provide reasonable break time and a private, non-bathroom space for breastfeeding employees to pump during the work day. The bill has passed the House and is currently being reviewed by the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. Email your senator today and urge them to support the PUMP Act in the Senate so it can become law!

Jennifer shares stories of s*xual assault as a bartender in NYC and later reveals how domestic abuse changed her career trajectory. The interview is brave, raw and deeply personal. It’s perhaps the most powerful of the season.

While abortion and prolife battles take center stage in American politics, we are letting the babies of mothers who very desperately want them die in the womb. Employers across America have no legal obligation to offer pregnant workers reasonable accommodations and the outcomes are horrifying.

In episode 4 with Seher Khawaja from Legal Momentum we discuss the most urgent issues facing working women across the economic spectrum. She also educates us on what to do if you may be facing gender discrimination. The majority of women are going to face some form of gender discrimination in our lives, so it's critical we know our legal rights and continue to push for change.

"As a young woman, every message I heard encouraged me to lean into my career. I knew very few instances of gender discrimination. But when I started to share my experience with others, stories came out of the woodworks. Everyone I told knew at least three other women who lost or left jobs due to issues relating to their gender.

I also learned all the reasons why they keep their stories quiet. Women are forced to sign confidentiality agreements when they get severance offers or settle a lawsuit. They don’t want to be seen as troublemakers to prospective employers. Companies threaten to sue them for defamation.
