Queens,
I don't know about y’all, but sometimes I just want to be soft and cared for. I don't always want to be on, or be some superhuman that always seems to make things happen, care for everyone but myself, and pretend as though I am not affected by the Strong Black Woman archetype. Instead, I'm a whole ass human, and at times feel like I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders and things get super overwhelming. That's why I go to therapy...
Therapy allows me to process my feelings and past experiences, gain effective tools to manage my anxiety and stress, and to actively heal so that I can show up the best version of myself and achieve my goals.
Don't let whatever stereotype that someone else or society has of you not allow you to care for yourself. Going to therapy is a radical form of self care. Go ahead, try it.
