The Vetter Stone Amphitheater is pleased to announce the headline entertainment for the 26th Annual RIBFEST, coming to Old Town Mankato August 1-4. Country artist RODNEY ATKINS kicks off the long weekend on Thursday. Friday night will feature the inimitable voice of 80’s rocker, CINDERELLA’S TOM KIEFER. Headlining Saturday will be the 90’s rock package of THE GIN BLOSSOMS and TOAD THE WET SPROCKET, along with special guest VERTICAL HORIZON. RibFest wraps up Sunday with PARROTHEAD PARADISE – a tribute to the life and music of the late, great Jimmy Buffett, featuring all the classic hits and deep cuts!

Reserved seating and party pit tickets go on sale Friday, March 15, at 10:00AM and can be purchased at the Mayo Clinic Event Center Ticket Office, and online at www.ticketmaster.com. Sheriff Jeff Wersal would like to introduce the two newest members of the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office. K9 Murphy, 18 months old (left) and K9 Jocko, 16 months old (right). Both are German Shepherds and were born in Slovakia. K9 Murphy is assigned to Deputy Suckow and K9 Jocko is assigned to Deputy Gehrke. Both K9’s are starting their training and eager to learn. We are hoping they complete their training and will be on patrol by June.

Sheriff Wersal has had some inquiries about donating to the K9 Program. We have partnered with the Mankato Area Foundation to handle the donations and a link to their website is https://mankato.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=4410

Any donations will be used for Training Equipment, Ongoing Training, Bullet Resistant Vests for the K9’s, Veterinarian Bills and First Aid Supplies.
