Pollution Control -1.The first way to reduce pollution is to practice the 3Rs concept namely reduce, reuse and recycle. People should reduce the usage of air conditioners as it will release harmful gases, for instant ozone-depleting chlorofluorocarbons which will result in reducing air pollution.
2.Reuse reusable items like plastic bags, bottles, etc. to reduce pollution.
3. The next way to reduce is to recycle recyclable items such as glass, cans and newspaper etc.
4. Reducing the usage of vehicles on road will also help in reducing air pollution on earth because these release harmful gases into the air such as hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, carbon dioxides and carbon monoxides which will cause serious problems.
5. Plant more and more trees because tress absorb gases and release fresh air, and helps a lot to make environment clean.
6, Another way to reduce pollution on earth is to create awareness among people. For example- "Go Green" campaign which encourage the citizens to plant trees and to use recyclable items in our daily life. The government plays an important role by enforcing the laws of the country which is one of the way to reduce pollution.

when everyone takes responsibility to reduce pollution then it will make a change because one may make no difference, but when carried out together, massive changes can be made.

Acid Rain- Acid rain is caused when pollutants present in the air mix up with the rain and fall back on the ground. The polluted water could dissolve away some of the essential nutrients found in soil and change the structure of the soil. So due to this fertility of soil decreases. The contaminated soil is then used to produce fruits and vegetables, which lacks quality nutrients and may contain some poisonous substance to cause serious health problems in people consuming them.

Soil Pollution- Soil pollution is caused by the presence of man-made chemicals or other alteration in the natural soil. It is typically caused by industrial activity, agricultural chemicals or improper disposal of waste. Soil pollution is a global threat that is particularly serious in regions like Europe, Asia and North Africa. Polluted soil directly affects human health through direct contact with soil or via inhalation of soil contaminants which have vaporized. This tends to result in the development of pollution-related diseases. Soil pollutants enter our body through the food chain, causing illness. These pollutants jeopardies world food security by reducing the amount and quality of harvests. In the first decade of the 21st century, soil degradation released between 3.6 and 4.4 billion tones of CO2 into atmosphere.

Water pollution has a bad impact on our ecosystem. As we know ecosystem depends on a complex web of animals, plants, bacteria, etc. All components of ecosystem depends upon each other- directly or indirectly. Harm to any of these organisms can create a chain effect, imperiling entire aquatic life. Water pollution causes an algal bloom in a water bodies, the proliferation of newly introduced nutrients stimulates plant and algae growth, which in turn reduces oxygen levels in the water. Decrease of oxygen in water leads to the death of aquatic organisms. Chemicals and heavy metals from industrial and municipal wastewater contaminate water as well. These contaminants are toxic to aquatic life- most often reducing an organism's life span and ability to reproduce. Solid debris such as plastic bags and cans are ingested fishes and other organisms, are responsible for harming more than 200 different species of marine life. These toxic elements enters into a food chain through aquatic elements, and it will indirectly leads to the death of other organisms also.

Water Pollution- Water pollution occurs when harmful substances such chemicals or microorganisms contaminate a river, lake, ocean or any other water body, and degrading water quality and rendering it toxic to living organisms or the environment. Toxic substances from farms, towns, and factories readily dissolve or mix with it and causing water pollution.
Drinking of contaminated water cause various types of diseases such as cholera, giardia, typhoid etc. Thousands of people across the United States are sickened every year by Legionnaires' disease ( a severe form of pneumonia contracted from water sources like cooling towers and piped water). Chemical pollutants such as arsenic, mercury and nitrate fertilizers are released into water bodies by factories and agricultural activities. Once these are ingested, these toxins can cause a severe health problems, from cancer to hormone disruption to altered brain function. Even swimming in polluted water can pose a risk. Every year, 3.5 million Americans contract health issues such as rashes, pinkeye, respiratory infections etc.

Deforestation- Deforestation refers to the decrease in forest areas across the world that are lost agricultural croplands, urbanization, or mining activities. Deforestation has been negatively affecting natural ecosystems, biodiversity, and the climate. Plants play a important role to reduce air pollution because they absorb carbon dioxide from air and release fresh oxygen. Carbon dioxide is a main air pollutant due to which our earth's temperature is increasing day by day.

Global Warming- Global warming is a rapid increase in earth's average surface temperature due to gages ( such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide) released by people burning fossil fuels. These gases spread around the planet like a blanket, and absorb infrared radiation, which comprises the bulk of solar energy. While the earth is becoming hotter on average, this temperature increase can have paradoxical effects, such as melting glaciers, early snowmelt. Due to this rising sea levels lead to coastal flooding.
Depletion of Ozone- Ozone depletion occurs when chlorofluorocarbons and halon gases formerly found in spray cans and refrigerants are released into the atmosphere. Ozone is a upper protective layer of atmosphere that absorb ultraviolet rays, which are harmful to humans, animals and plants. But chlorofluorocarbons and halons cause chemical reactions that break ozone molecules, and reducing ozone's radiation absorbing capacity. Thinning of ozone is responsible for skin cancer, respiratory diseases, allergies etc.

Air Pollution- Air pollution is the presence of substances in the atmosphere that are harmful to the health of humans and other living beings, or cause damage to the climate. There are different types of air pollutants, such as gases ( like ammonia, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane, chlorofluorocarbons etc.), particulates ( organic and inorganic) and biological molecules. There are two types of air pollutants- primary and secondary. Primary pollutants are emitted directly from their source, while secondary pollutants are formed when primary pollutants react in the atmosphere.
Air pollution is a significant risk factor for a number of pollution-related diseases. It may cause diseases, allergies and even death to humans; it may also cause harm to other living organisms such as animals and crops. Air pollution causes the deaths of around 7 million people worldwide each year.

Pollution is the introduction of harmful materials into the environment. these harmful materials are called pollutants. We can also say that pollution is the process of making land, water, air or other parts of the environment dirty and not suitable to use. this can be done through the introduction of pollutants into a natural environment. Simple things such as light, sound and temperature can be considered pollutants when introduced artificially into an environment.
Pollution affects more than 200 million people worldwide every year. In some of the world's worst polluted places, babies are born with birth defects, children have lost 30-40 IQ points, and life expectancy may be low as 45 years because of cancer and other diseases.
