I know... It's been awhile since we last spoke. Life happens and life changes, but I never stopped thinking of you all.

I have recently accepted a new position at the Atlanta Symphony Hall and I couldn't feel happier to have started a new chapter with them. It is with a heavy heart that I have to put the podcast on pause. I am getting used to a new life, a new beginning, and a new journey. With that being said, I am still here for my Grievers and will always be living with the grief that I have shared with you all. One day I'll return to tell you how life has been and share all the details of my life since we last spoke.

A day late for a day I hate...

As we maneuver these days, it's hard to give ourselves grace. We see everyone posting pictures of barbecues with their dads while we sit here and wish that we could do that just one more time. I spent my father's day making new memories while cherishing the old ones. It's been 8 years without my dad and I've had to transform into a person that I didn't want to be; A fatherless daughter.

To everyone who spent their Father's Day fatherless, I hope that you were able to give yourself grace and patience while trying to live one day at a time. 💙

"Today is never easy."

That's what everyone says to me and they are right. No day is ever easy when you are dealing with grief. This picture is how I used to spend mother's day and how I will be spending my mother's days from now on. This picture represents how most of us motherless children will spend mother's day from now on.

Today, we are celebrating the memories, the love, the life that our mothers gave us. To all my motherless children out there, I am celebrating you and your growth today. 💜

Meet Dr. Joshua Black!

Dr. Joshua Black is one of the world's leading academic experts on dreams in
bereavement, which are known as grief dreams. He has focused all of his MA and
PhD research (in psychology) on investigating grief dreams and continuing
bonds from many types of loss (including prenatal loss and pet loss). Most of his
academic research and publications have specifically been on dreaming of the
deceased.
Due to the lack of academic research in this field, Dr. Black has focused his efforts
on raising awareness on grief dreams through developing a grief dreams
website (www.griefdreams.ca), online courses, consulting business, hosting the
Grief Dreams Podcast, running several social media accounts, and doing
interviews and presentations/workshops.

He has presented to middle and high schoolers, college students, health care professionals, bar staff, politicians, and businesses on topics ranging from consent, healthy relationships, human trafficking, warning signs of violence, and policy implications. He enjoys spending time with friends, playing video and board games, watching anime and horror movies, and meeting new people when not working.

Amanda works in Community Outreach and Prevention Education and has been in the world of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault prevention for three years. She has given educational presentations to groups that range from Pre-K to those in Residential M.D. programs. Amanda is also a nationally recognized advocate for victims of crime and spends time on a crisis intervention hotline. She can be spotted staffing awareness tables at community events in her hometown, and you can count on her to speak up when she sees injustice. Her passion for equity, inclusion, diversity, and justice is what drives her to be the best advocate and educator she can be.

Life really does suck sometimes, but you're here!

Ever wonder what my process is to packing an order? Here it is!!

Roux is with me every step of the way! She watches me make the item(s) you order just to make sure that if it does magically turn into food and falls on the ground, she gets a bite.

I wrap your item(s) in gold tissue paper, because it is literally worth gold, and I make sure that I throw in some free stickers.

Once the item is in my amazing packaging, that I would literally ship my first born child in, I make sure to fist fight my dog for the personalized handwritten note I send with each order.

Then, depending on how depressed I am, I drive dangerous fast to the carrier so they can throw your item(s) on your front porch so that your Ring doorbell will capture and you can post it on TikTok.

And there you have it!!! Think you could do it yourself? You probably could... Would you like a job?

Just remember that each item you purchase helps a family member who has dealt with the loss of a love one, aka, me. THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT!!! 💚🖤
