I love her so much, I really do, but every so often she hinders me from getting work done. A 10 minute task can turn into 30 dealing with her🙄
On a brighter note it is absolutely beautiful outside and I’ve been enjoying getting some work done in the sun🌼I could be out here for hours just embracing this weather. It’s been really nice to relax during this dreaded exam season.
I hope everyone is staying strong during this time. It’s the final stretch, keep going!🎓👏🏾✨

Welcome to Day 2 of ✨Falling In Love With Reading✨ Where I read to become the bookworm I’ve dreamed of being.
Day 2 was quite easy since I am still motivated from starting this challenge. The most difficult part of it all is actually posting the video lol. I’m trying to get more consistent in my posting, but life, specifically university, keeps getting in the way of it.
When it comes to the book, I am truly enjoying it. As I continue to read and understand the plot, I have become more interested. This book touches on the issue of mental health in the black community. The story is from the point of view of a mother dealing with her teenage daughter who has bipolar disorder, and a drug problem. As the characters are being introduced, there is a consistent pattern of the mother reflecting on when her daughter was back to her old self, and their life was normal. The author did a wonderful job of expressing the mental struggles of this mother.

I’ve always had the desire to love reading. I used to always marvel at the bookworms in my class, wondering what fueled their desire to choose a book, over a tv. Relatively recently, my mother went back to reading regularly and is now barely keeping up with her favorite shows. It has come to a point where the longing for better reading habits became too strong for me to ignore. So I decided to start a reading challenge for myself called, “Falling in Love With Reading.” For 30 days, I will be reading a minimum of 20 pages a day of a book of choice. I will be documenting my journey with you all to hold myself accountable, and help encourage anyone else who has similar goals.
My first book was a suggestion by my mother called 72 Hour Hold by Bebe Moore Campbell. I love realistic fiction, so this book has been a great start for me. I will share my thoughts on the book as I continue. If you want to join me, please feel free to do so, and make sure to tag me. Follow me @lawstudentodyssey for more inspiration and tips.
