'Water problem in Siavonga to end next week
Siavonga Council Chairperson Given Kwapu has assured the people of Siavonga that the water problem in the area will come to an end after Monday next week.
" By next week after Monday , the issues of water problem in Siavonga will be the thing of the past. By next week people should expect to receive more water. This will be the first time in the history of Siavonga for people to receive alot of water," says Kwapu today at Southern Water and Sanitation Company (SWSC) Ingombe Ilede main raw water intake where he went to check on the works for the installation of a transformer.
SWSC has contracted Zamelectric Solution Ltd to install a transformer for the new water reticulation system.'

UPND NARRATES ATTACK IN SIAVONGA
"[COPIED] SIAVONGA UPND ATTACKS ON PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN TEAM; No One Is Above The Law.
With almost 6 days since the attack on our National Presidential Campaign Team, today being the 28th of July, all UPND member eyes are on the men and women in uniform.
There's a public speculation that the police would only act swiftly on political violence if it involved the UPND opposition party being on the wrong side, and would act otherwise if it involved other political players.
Whether that is true or not, hinges on evidence in each one of us, it remains a public speculation.
On the 22nd of July, the UPND National Presidential Campaign Team were in Siavonga District doing their usual work, of inspecting their members, and workers alike. As anyone would be aware, next month the 12th of August Zambia goes to the polls; it's election time.
While on their way, they were attacked by Political opponents, who harassed them with verbal threats, bodily harassment, intimidation, even showing them their weapon, a Pistol, and reminding them 'how they'd be finished in no time by opponents.'
It went on to having their property which was a moto vehicle, being damaged, as evidently seen on the property.
The traumatizing video confessions marred with fear in the voice and words is in public domain. Remember, Siavonga has been having campaigns, and has never in history recordes such magnitude of violence.
The UPND party, being citizens of Zambia, have their eyes on the case and per Law procedure, have let the Law enforcers do their work.
With what is in Public Speculation, what do we expect this time around? We expect an answering to the Law. Clearly, the Law hath found a wanting here, and someone has to answer to it.
Sometimes it's very hard to harbour confidence in cases like these, especially for the fact that suspects are roaming freely in the streets, and even the utterances that are being made by suspects over the same case, is devastating.

UPND members have urged the party in the district to be cautious even as they go their way into campaigns.
