Baby girl won a moot competition few days back. 🤭

Grateful to the organizers, especially the President for giving me the opportunity to be amongst those representing the school. I’m also grateful to my more than capable team mates, Abdullah and Oyin, who made it possible for us to get this win.

Above all else, I’m grateful to God, without whom all our efforts would have been in vain. 🥹🤲🏻

Often we find ourselves worrying over a lot of things like what to wear, will we do well in our exams or will we ever find a good partner etc. but we fail to realize that there is more to life than all these things. And we fail to realize that the one who gave us this life will provide for all our needs and more.

Law school is not all about books, books and books. There are many extra-curricular activities any law student can participate in. These activities are fun and help to further improve their knowledge of law.

One of these activities is Mooting. Mooting is a simulation of a court setting where two sides argue a point of law in front of an acting judge, who based on the presentation by each sides, decides who wins. Sounds fun right?

I had my first court appearance today as a Lead Counsel 😆😆

It was definitely a bit nerve-racking but I enjoyed every step of the process. The Justices were definitely lenient with me and excused my mistakes and for that I’m grateful. 😂

Definitely looking forward to more scintillating cases ahead.✨

P.S: This is all Student Practice. Not actual practice in the real sense of it. 🌚
