Anambra Gov's Wife Sends Food Supply, Cash To Children Whose Mom Died From Domestic Violence In Abagana.

Anambra Governor's wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo has delivered food supply to children of the middle-aged woman, Mrs Blessing Chioma Nwaka, whose husband recently set ablaze in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area, over a family quarrel.

The food supply, which was delivered to the children's grandparents' home today in Irefi Village, Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area where they are currently staying, is part of Mrs Soludo's efforts to ensure that they not lack basic needs pending a conclusive arrangement for their long-term upkeeps.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike, who delivered the supply and cash on behalf of the governor's wife, explained that she was most concerned about the welfare of the kids, and has placed priority on their education.

Dr Obidike also urged the family to ensure that the items are substantially used for the care of the children, pointing out that the government is committed to their overall welfare, with special attention to their health, education and other primary needs.

The brother to Mrs Nwaka, Mr Nnamdi Anaeche, thanked the governor's wife for constantly checking up on the children of his late sister since the incident that happened late last week, and assured that the family will do its best to support every government efforts to help the children.

The Chairman of Irefi Village, Oraifite, Mr. Chukwulobe Ifeanyi, who was also there when the governor's wife team visited, said that already the community has begun mobilization to support the children, including expanding their current residence to accommodate more space.

He commended Mrs Soludo for her timely assistance, as well as the great efforts that have been employed so far to help the children.

Recall that late last week, Mrs Blessing Nwaka, a mother of five boys, was seen in a viral gory clip on social media late yesterday, scampering for safety while carrying a 3rd degree burn around her torso and other body areas.

According to eyewitnesses, the victim's husband, Mr Sunday Nwaka, a middle-aged man who, alongside their five sons, depended on the wife's petty business to survive, emptied a can of fuel on the woman and immediately set her on fire over little family misunderstanding.

It was passersby and neighbours who managed to put out the fire, though it had dealt significant burns on the victim.

She was then rushed to a medical facility in Enugwu-Ukwu, where she was pronounced dead at around 3 am the next day.

In her reaction to the incident which she described as gruesome and evil, Mrs Soludo reiterated that the present administration takes issues of domestic violence and abuses as serious crimes, stating that no one who is found guilty of such offences would be let to walk free.

She added that the state government will now find the best approach to take care of the five children.

SECURITY IN ANAMBRA: ANOTHER POLICE OPERATIVE INTERCEPTS TWO SUSPECTS AT A CHECK POINT AND RECOVERS ONE BARRETA PISTOL, TWO LIVE AMMUNITION AND A TOYOTA COROLLA CAR

Operatives of the Special Anti-Cult Squad Enugwu Ukwu, at a security checkpoint on Umudioka-Awkuzu road by Igbariam on 25th January 2025 by 5.38 pm arrested two out of the four occupants of a white Toyota Corolla vehicle with registration number YAB 26 CB. The team also recovered one barreta pistol, two live ammunition and the Toyota Corolla vehicle.

The two suspects are Raphael Peverga and Saakura Teryima both aged 22 years old and from Benue State. Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to arrest the other two suspects that are currently on the run.

It was reported that the suspects alighted from the vehicle while still in motion when the Operatives ordered them to park the vehicle for a Security search.

The Commissioner of Police *CP Nnaghe Obono Itam* assures that the Command shall continue to evolve strategy and improve operational positioning in the State to nip to the bud such criminal elements.

Anambra Gov's Wife Says Man Who Allegedly Set Wife Ablaze In Abagana Must Face Full Justice.

Anambra governor's wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has vowed to follow up closely on the case of a man who allegedly set his wife on fire in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area until full justice is served.

The governor's wife made the disclosure after receiving details of the viral incident from the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Mrs Ify Obinabo and her health counterpart, Dr Afam Obidike, whom she had directed to immediately visit the scene of the incident.

The victim, Mrs Blessing Chioma Nwaka, a mother of five boys, was seen in a viral gory clip on social media late yesterday, scampering for safety while carrying a 3rd degree burn around her torso and other body areas.

The alleged arsonist has now been taken into custody and would soon face prosecution.

In her reaction to the incident which she described as gruesome and evil, Mrs Soludo vowed to see to the end of the case, insisting that the full justice must be made to take prime place in the whole process.

She reiterated that the present administration takes issues of domestic violence and abuses as serious crimes, stating that no one who is found guilty of such offences would be let to walk free.

The governor's further expressed strong disappointment at the rising cases of violence and abuses in homes and re-issued her long-term call for serious social reformation, beginning with a systemic approach to fighting drug use and related problems.

She added that the state government will now find the best approach to take care of the five children whom, she maintained, should be in the most careful manner.

Nonye's Healthy Living Pap Retains 100% Availability Across Anambra PHCs.

Nonye's Healthy Living Pap, the natural food formula for children with malnutrition, has retained a dominant presence in all the Primary Health Care facilities in Anambra State since the coverage was expanded in December, 2024.

The refilling of the pap banks in the one hundred and seventy-nine communities in Anambra was recently completed as a way to ensure its reach and effective service.

The process, according the governor's wife whose NGO is overseeing the production and free distribution, is to ensure all-round availability of the supplement in the primary health facilities where they can always be accessed by parents whose children are battling malnutrition.

Nonye's Healthy Living Pap is a purely organic supplement produced by the wife of the governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo, through her non-governmental movement, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative.

The natural formula, which is given out free of charge is, according to Mrs Soludo, meant to tackle every form of malnutrition in children and assist government health policies to bring the malnutrition counts in Anambra State to near zero.

The distribution pattern for Nonye's Healthy Living Pap is carefully streamlined to portray transparency and accountability in terms of data for the number of children who received it, the intake duration, results, and overall product's performance.

From the Local Government Nutrition Focal Persons (NFPs), who first receive the product, down to Officers In Charge (OICs), who then take the pap to all the PHCs across the three hundred and twenty-six wards in the one hundred and seventy-nine communities in the state.

As of date, over six thousand packs of Nonye's Healthy Living Pap have been distributed across Anambra State, accounting for over ninety per cent distribution coverage within four months since the product was officially launched.

Yesterday, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, forthrightly responded to the lingering shadows of insecurity that have plagued our beloved state with the launch of the AGUNECHEMBA security outfit and the bold declaration of a 'war' codenamed 'OPERATION UDO GA-CHI'. This decisive action underscores a comprehensive approach to restoring peace and security in Anambra—a testament to the unparalleled commitment of the SOLUTION ADMINISTRATION.

In a time when fear loomed over our communities, threatening to undermine the commendable strides we've made in infrastructure development and governance, the initiative launched by Governor Soludo is a clear message: **IT IS FINISHED** for the criminals. Their reign of terror and opportunistic disregard for the law is ended. For the political opposition, who have sought to exploit the insecurity for their gain in the power gain, let this also resound: *"IT IS FINISHED". Your attempts at tarnishing the record of SOLUTION ADMINISTRATION will falter against the robust actions our governor is undertaking.

Wind back the clock two years and ten months, and one can see a state transforming under the visionary leadership of Prof. Soludo—a leader who not only articulates a vision but executes it with exceptional precision. Instead of capitalizing on insecurity, they will witness the blooming resurgence of a state vibrant with opportunity—an Anambra ready to welcome investors once more with open arms. The infrastructural revolutions and logistics advancements combined with prudent fiscal governance make our state not just competitive but a benchmark for others to emulate.

Anambra is weary of the muddling-through approaches and infantile experimentation methods that the opposition will bring to the table but has embraced SOLUTION as a tested and trusted way forward. The opposition should hold their peace and save their money because *THERE IS NO VACANCY*. Their efforts to disrupt the progress we have made will fall flat in the face of the solid governance we are now experiencing.
