We are beyond proud to announce the outstanding participation of two remarkable short films: "Peymus" (Famous), directed by the talented Gabriel Rodriguez, and "Ti Bisikleta ni Arong" (Arong's Bicycle), directed by the brilliant Branden N. Domingo. These exceptional films were created during the 2023 Hundred Islands Film Festival under the expert mentorship of Zig Madamba Dulay, Carlo Gallen Obispo, Tim Rone Bagnas Villanueva, Jerome Dulin, Sef Arcegono, Arjanmar H. Rebeta, Victor Kaiba Villanueva, and our very own Carlo Enciso Catu. A special shoutout to the HIFF team led by the amazing festival director, Raquel Rarang Rivera who attended the festival alongside our young filmmakers.

We are overjoyed to share that "Famous" brought home the coveted Magic Film Award, awarded by the jury to the best international short film in the Ready Action Competition section! 🏆✨

YATU celebrates this monumental win and is committed to supporting our local storytellers as they share their incredible stories with the world! Let's continue to shine a spotlight on our amazing talents and inspire others with our unique narratives. 🌟📽️
