🖤 This Juneteenth eve, let’s take time out to acknowledge one of our venerated ancestors.

Malik Ambar, tho never being enslaved in america shared a very similar circumstance to many of us here in America. Malik Ambar was enslaved and separated from his family and home in what is modern day Ethiopia and enslaved by Arabs. He eventually was trafficked to India where he rose to prominence in warfare and when he reached the height of power, instead of taking the throne, he was wise enough to situate a vassal onto the throne instead.

While we may see warriors in our history, they are often met with a tragic end. This was not the case with Malik Ambar, he warred his entire life and had much success. This due in large part to always being war ready. So let us not just honor his memory, but learn from his ways, to never stop preparing for war.

They say when America Sneezes, Black America has pneumonia. That’s why here at The Afro Times we’re looking to change that narrative. We all know the general market place has taken a beating, but the plight of black owned businesses during these times have been swept under the rug.

So in an effort to support B.O.B we’ve created The Corona Cash Mob to encourage the solicitation of our businesses during these trying times nationwide. Think of it as a stimulus. Many B.O.B are still offering pick up or delivery services in compliance with social distancing regulations. So let’s make sure we show our support.

How to participate:

We encourage you to target B.O.B from April 1st thru the 30th.

After making your purchase, snap a photo or screenshot of your receipt and DM it to The Afro Times so that we can add it to our tally of stimulus dollars generated.

Lastly we encourage everyone to promote a B.O.B. TAG THEM BELOW, and please share THE CASH MOB photo
