Short Film – Cast & Crew Required

Hey everyone, I’m planning to make a short film called Homebound over the course of the summer, and I’m looking to recruit cast and crew. The film is a satire on the housing market; I’ve linked the script below. The cast (actors) that I’ll need are as follows (the gender of the characters aren’t fixed):

Sam [Lead role]
Alex [Lead role]
Presenter [Supporting role]
Letting Agent [Supporting role]
Landlord [Supporting role]
Renter [Supporting role]

The crew that I’ll need are as follows:

Filming will take place in and around Glasgow, hopefully on weekend mornings during July and August, but exact dates and times will be subject to people’s availability. Short film – cast & crew & extras needed!

Just a photograph of the crew of the last filmmaking experiment after shooting (minus Jack, who wasn't on set because he was editing, and myself because I took the photo). None of these people had met before, but we all ended up working well together.

Hello, I'm looking to shoot a film in a place in Glasgow which:

a) has a window you can climb through

b) has a relatively large kitchen

Simple Filmmaking Experiment 2

No previous experience required.

Looking to experiment with filmmaking techniques using a scene from 'Inception' in order to practise filmmaking / acting.

Acting Roles:
(Your gender doesn't matter for these)
Cobb – Rita Beloglazová
Eames - Ethan Brodie
It would be nice if you are familiar with your lines, but you don't need to know them off-by-heart.

Crew roles:
- Director - Rae Phillips-Smith
- Cinematographer / camera operator- Lucy McKenna
- 1st AD - Alexandra Pinheiro
- Sound operator - Bea Lent
- Editors (multiple available) - Finlay Thomas, Bea Lent

Location: Outside Cowcaddens subway stop (Glasgow). We will film at a bridge nearby.
Time: Depends on your availability. 4th of August.
We will film for perhaps 2-3 hours, depending on when people have to go.

Requirements:
- Turning up (on time)
- Dedication

The aim is to film the scene several times in many different ways in order to explore and be creative. I will bring ideas on how we can change subtext, shot styles and action, but I'm very open to others bringing things they'd like to try. For example, if you are an actor and wanted to see what it would be like if you sang all your lines, or if you are a cinematographer and wanted to see what it would be like if you used very skewed canted angles, etc.
It's pretty informal - no costumes needed. I will bring equipment but feel free to bring other stuff to experiment with (ie props, equipment, costumes). I'll also bring copies of the script. This is open to those with no experience too, just so we can all practise making films.

Script:
This is a deleted scene from Inception. We will be able to interpret it as we see fit.

The aim is to film the scene several times in many different ways in order to explore and be creative. I will bring ideas on how we can change subtext, shot styles and action, but I'm very open to others bringing things they'd like to try. For example, if you are an actor and wanted to see what it would be like if you sang all your lines, or if you are a cinematographer and wanted to see what it would be like if you used very skewed canted angles, etc.

It's pretty informal - no costumes needed. I will bring the prop (flowers) and equipment, but feel free to bring other stuff to experiment with. I'll also bring copies of the script. This is open to those with no experience too, just so we can all practise making films.

Location: Kelvingrove Park (Glasgow)
Time: Tuesday the 22nd at Kelvingrove Park at 1:00. We will film for perhaps 2-3 hours, depending on when people have to go.

This group is just for collecting filmmakers, actors and other creatives in one place so that we can collaborate. Being part of this group isn’t a promise to make things - it’s just in case you are interested in a project and want to get involved. You can join all projects or none or just some - it doesn’t matter, it’s up to you. It’s a pretty chill group and just because Rae set it up doesn’t mean she's in charge or that you have to ask permission to do stuff.

How it will work:

- People will post screenplays or project descriptions (experiments most welcome!)
- Others can sign up to act or do a filmmaking crew role by commenting on that post
- It's probably best to state where you want your project to be filmed (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Peebles, etc) so you don't get crews from too far away. If you're not sure yet, you could ask the cast and crew to state their locations when they volunteer.
