Did it rain like crazy all summer where you are?
Up here in NH it's been a big bummer most of the time because all our free time kept landing on a rainy day.
Yesterday we finally got a family beach day in. Starting tomorrow, it's another week straight of rain 😭

The bin method is my favorite way of keeping our cars tidy in our busy life. I have 2 bins for the trunk and one for the back seat. I periodically sort everything into the bins and vaccum the car at the free vaccums in town.
It has made it so much more manageable! I just bring the bins inside to sort everything back to their homes (toys, books, trash, clothes, sports items, etc) and then put the bins back in the cars!

Do you have any sanity saving hacks like this? Always looking for more inspiration!

In December, we were hit by a completely unexpected windstorm in SC while our screen room was attached to our awning. It destroyed our fabric and broke one of our pitch arms.

Last month, after a long wait for the pitch arm and star washers, we finally got it all repaired and the fabric replaced! We will be posting a reel on the process.

We have a backlog of content for reels, because making them is alot of work (lol) and we've been so busy with the kids, working, and renovations, but we're excited to share alot of the finished work soon. With bigger projects over the horizon (we got some bad news this summer that we will share with you soon).

But on the bright side, the kids new couch came in and we rehomed their little chairs!

I spent weeks looking around for the best bang for our buck, that also had alot of different pieces for more building options. I also had to make sure it didnt take up the entire bunkroom!

Finally found the perfect one!
We linked it in our shop so you can get one too!

We have been processing the results of Sequoyah's placenta review.

Dr.Kliman determined he died from an insufficient placenta. It was too small for him, and with decreased maternal perfusion, he didnt get enough oxygen/blood/nutrients as the placenta couldnt keep up with the demand. The placenta aged too soon. So he sufficated from it. This is why there was blood pooling in his lips (something many people thought was lipstick or asked why on his video).

If measuring the placenta (estimated placental volume) and tracking the blood flow with a doppler were part of a standard biophysical profile ultrasound like the one we had a day and a half before he died, we would have known he was in danger.

Measure the Placenta & PUSH for Empowered Pregnancy have been trying to make this a standard in pregnancy care.

It's another thing people can throw in our faces and blame us for going past 41wks. So that hurts. Now we get to be that voice that tells women it's not always safe to continue a pregnancy that long. That there is more thorough evaluations that they should have to keep their babies safe. That their bodies may not know what to do and start the process on it's own. That baby's dont always come when they're ready. At the cost of our son's life.

Knowing the truth helps, as the "guess" from the autopsy didn't feel right. But the grief of knowing it was preventable will forever hang over us. It's been like reliving it all again, and has fed us another strong cocktail of confusing emotions. We are so thankful to have these results thanks to those who donated.

Now we know. Now we can warn others. Now we can protect any other potential future children. (We did push for umbilical cord checks and EPV with Wisteria, but was met with some difficulty)

Placental insufficiency is something that affects 10-15% of pregnancies, maybe more that go undetected.
We wonder if this was undetected with our oldest.
23.6% of stillbirths at any gestation have been linked to placental disease including insufficiency.

Last night a photographer in Houston TX reached out to us to let us know she is available for any and all bereavement documentation. At no cost to the families. If you or someone you know in that area finds themselves in need, please reach out to us.

If you are a photographer and want to add your name and area to this list, please also reach out.

We are working behind the scenes on Sending Sparrows. Things are slow as life is busy and theres alot to learn and set up for a nonprofit, but we are still working on it, promise.

"We are building a foundation that will be able to financially support photographers who provide documentary photography for families who experience the death of a baby or child. We will cover birth documentation, hello-goodbyes with those born still or who pass shortly after birth, and infant loss goodbye sessions."
Excerpt from our new business website thats still under construction.

Sending Sparrows will emphasize a focus of delivering quality images in both color and black and white, covering a wide range of loss types, bringing the bereaved as much detail to carry with them to help them remember their babies and process their loss.

One piece of parenting advice I wish I had had echoing in my mind with our 1st born.
Now with our 3rd child, 2nd living, I follow this alot and it has helped immensely. Going out for a late walk with the dogs or getting them in a bath, sometimes joining them, has helped with that parental overwhelm that sets in from time to time.
Losing a child may have fortified our patience and multiplied our gratitude 10 fold for our living children's presence in our lives, but it doesn't take away the human limitations that we have. We all have a point of overstimulation or exhaustion.

What is one piece of parenting advice you wish you had had from the beginning?

A long 3 days of travel to bring our rig back north for repairs is complete. We made it to family, but its snowing all day so we have to wait for it to stop to be able to drop it off at the repair shop.

We didnt take glamorous packing/closing up content. Because in reality, its not that exciting or pretty. Most of our things are boxed up to take out and pushed out of the way for the repair guys.
We stayed at hotels since most campgrounds are closed and putting the damaged slideout in and out would cause more damage(it already did pulling it in)

Fulltime rvers who do this digital creator work, do a good job of showing the glamorous side of rv life. It's not always so amazing, it's still home owning, so there's still things that break, sinks full of dishes, toys and laundry, bills to pay. Etc. We will be retiring our tired old truck from long trips and searching for a new one.

We were given an estimate of 10wks for them to complete the repairs once they get their hands on our camper. We can't wait to be back in our home.
