Good morning from our homestead Bark Like A Dog Studio.

We've made an agonizing decision.
NJ and I love providing opportunities for local songwriters by offering the highest broadcast quality recordings as well as access to our amazing partner studio Riverside Mixing and Mastering and industry production juggernaut Scott Watson Lake, but we've decided to make Bark Like A Dog Studio a private production facility. What exactly does that mean?

Since Covid, most of our work has been done remotely and we've reached a point where we feel we're busy enough. We've been getting more requests to contribute on other artist's projects, we're currently focussing on recording our sophomore album and we also have several large side projects we’re immersed in that will require our full engagement.

We'll still take on the occasional project here at the studio so you can contact us with your needs and discuss your project but at this point it will be on a case by case basis. The great news is that mixing and mastering services with Scott are still available.

Thank you for understanding and thank you to all the amazing artists who have come through Bark Like A Dog Studio over the past five years.

Peace & Love – NJ & Greg

While recording Big Sugar's album "Brothers and Sisters" at Gordie's house, something unexpected happened. I was upstairs, and Gordie was in the basement, laying down guitar tracks. Suddenly, a piece of equipment, the Summit MPE 200 preamp, started smoking and then burst into flames. Despite the surprise, we managed to extinguish the fire quickly.

This fiery incident added an unforgettable moment to the album's creation process, blending a bit of real-life drama with the art of making music.
