I'm excited about this brand-spankin' new website I created and just got launched! I don't know that I've had a site come together and fall into place quite like this one.

I'm especially excited for Back 2 Bay 6to to be open for business and to have a digital home of its own. Ivan Brewer has created something special here, offering courses for parents, teachers, and school bus drivers. Anyone who participates is sure to benefit from his valuable insight and experience!

I built a website for a small business a while back and the manager was now wanting to add a current job openings section to his website.

I was having a hard time figuring out the best way to display the information and after trying out several different ideas I finally came across a winner - a tab "folder!" It works perfectly for displaying each job description without taking up excess space.

My client ended up telling me that it was "perfect" 🤯 I love nothing more than being able to deliver results like that 👊

I highly recommend giving this a watch or a read. For small business owners, this stuff is golden. Even if you weren't necessarily wondering if websites are still relevant (I wasn't!) there's still good strategy and information to be gleaned from this. I enjoy Bobby Hoyt of Millennial Money Man and think this article is helpful. A big takeaway for me is his suggestion to use a combination of tools to create a tailored approach that meets all of your financial tracking needs. It makes a lot of sense.

This is kind of a big deal - Google has just developed a WordPress plugin that allows you to create - get this - Google Stories - right from your WP dashboard. It is one powerful plugin; drag and drop, fully customizable - all with just a few clicks.

I'm excited because I think Google could be a great platform for the Stories format. I may be the only person on the planet (well, the first-world part of the planet 🙄) to NOT enjoy Stories on either Facebook or Instagram (or Tik Tok, which is basically just one big story).

Stories are clunky to me and I feel trapped in the content with very little control over what I'm seeing. Social media is meant for scrolling through at your own pace. I like to be able to digest the content a little, you know?

Google, however, seems like a sweet spot for Stories to land. Stories will show up right in the SERPS and make it even easier to be drawn in and fritter away our time online!

The plugin is still in beta testing and reportedly a little buggy, but you know I like to live dangerously ( https://google.github.io/web-stories-wp/beta/ ) so I'm going to download it to my staging site and start playing!!

Here in Oregon, we're having to pump our own gas due to the public health crisis. I sat in my car for quite a few minutes wondering why no one was coming to help me before I noticed the sign informing me I'd have to do it myself {gasp!} 😂 but I'll stop complaining because my family is healthy and safe and I have much to be grateful for.

This is a really great read. I gained a much-needed education about something that causes me a lot of stress (I constantly fret over my being chronically under-slept). I was able to change my sleep habits for about 2 weeks but am now back to where I used to be - going to bed later than I should pretty much every night. I thought the things I learned would have a more lasting impact, but alas, my busy life and lack of self-discipline in the sleep arena seem to win out over my fear of the dire consequences this book thoroughly warned me about. Sigh.

Even still, I think this book is just plain fascinating. The research is rigorous and compelling - both the author's and that of others in the field. This guy knows his stuff and his writing emanates competence. As I read along, I just kept feeling like he was The Authority on this stuff; like what he says, goes.

Just one more thing before I sign off; the author repeatedly says there is no making up for lost sleep. Once we're behind, there's no way to pay the debt. I wonder what hope I have? I've always been a night owl and having had 5 infants to care for during the wee hours over the years has left me so depleted. If I can't ever make up for the sleep I lost, can any improvements that I make, make a difference? See, I told you this topic stresses me out ;)

My congregation won’t be meeting for the next couple of weeks due to COVID 19 concerns, as I’m sure is the case for many of you, church or otherwise. Since I’ve had a little extra time this Sunday I wanted to share with you that the driving force behind everything here at Clarity is my faith in Jesus Christ.

He helps me in all things, which includes being the best I can be professionally and serving my clients with integrity. He helps me provide true value and to my clients and communicate that I personally care about them + their businesses, and am wholeheartedly invested in their success.

We’re all in this together and I firmly believe that the Savior will help us in all aspects of our lives. Thank you for letting me travel on this journey with you, we have so much to contribute for good in this world!
