I don't know why Threads has suggested posts on its "parent" platform. There's a reason I don't maintain a personal social media presence anymore. If I wanted to rot my brain, hard drugs might be something I'd consider first. Anyway, I was going through the shop's page and rearranging the order in which titles appear. I guess I have to start posting what is still in the shop, horses and water, you know.
The 7" split between Death March and Apocalypse Tribe, marking the final release from the former, and debut from the latter. Four tracks of puro desmadre to get the blood boiling, for only $5!

Been working on something. Ever betwixt about continuing this vexation to my detriment, and here I am with more novel time killers to commit to. Anyway, we'll see how long this additional subdomain lasts.
As promised, everything pulled from the shelves has been purged from the site. It should be easier to navigate now that most of the black vinyl is gone. Yes, I did purge all Templars and Templars adjacent titles, the new Subhumans box set, the latest Endless Struggle album, and so on. Going forward, if a title refuses to move, it goes in a crate where one can pretend vinyl wasn't wasted pressing it. This is a good thing, just smile and nod.
110 years ago, the only philosopher of the 20th century, that mattered (to me), came into this world. What better way to pay homage than to pair my favorite Dead Silence song with this post. Enjoy.
Since their music isn't available on social media, here's the trailer for the 瓦爾登啤酒湖 EP, from Shave 'N' Shut.

I get a ton of targeted ads because I spent a lifetime in the culinary world. Today I got a promoted advert in my feed, which the author's page purports that he may be a professional, yet had the worst knife skills I have ever seen someone be proud of. I had to comment, because that's what happens when you're presented with the choice of having an aneurysm thinking about it, or saying something. The author commented, but more specifically, as if he may have known this footage of me exists, mentioning the way he cuts onions is his thing. My comment was not specific to any of the items he was cutting, just that the knife skills in the advert were terrible. Full disclosure, it was an advert for an electric knife sharpener, collaborating with the aforementioned author. I still use stones, in the traditional way, but I do find the tech interesting. Hence, why I committed to watching it. Anyway, I filmed this clip in 2019. In 2020, as an "essential worker" when everything else was closed, I added the music from Four Times Fat, a late 90s Denver band, added some filters, and shared it with the world. The speed is not edited, that is how fast I dice onions, you can tell by the speed of the steam coming off the chile verde going on in the tilt kettle to my left. I have the original footage saved somewhere (I actually had to download this version off the internet), but there's a couple people on here that have worked with me and can confirm if they see this post. When I was a sous chef at a Peruvian restaurant, they called me, "la máquina," because it sounds...well, you can guess what it can sound like. In a few weeks it will have been three years since I walked away from the culinary world. I miss it every day, and I am constantly writing recipes off the top of my head, even though I don't even cook at home, but I can't go back and deal with know-nothing restaurateurs acting like they are doing everyone a favor by owning a restaurant. If I ever go back, it'll be on my terms
Then And Now is available in the shop. Had no choice but to make a reel so that their music could be on IG.

As stated in the previous post, there's no Spit music available on IG, so I turned it into a reel for all to hear. Life In Limbo seemed fitting, so turn it up and buy in.

There are no Spit songs available on IG, so I turned this picture into a reel, as I did with 1918 and will do with two more posts momentarily, since I no longer have enough room to set up the AV gear and record direct footage. Anyway, turn it up, then buy it!

In the vast fabric of Colorado punk, there has stood but few bands whose names are legendary within, or beyond. Dead Silence is one of those bands. If you're young enough to have missed them, you've probably heard someone mention them with a bit of reverence, and if you were there, you know. Rabbit Rabbit Records/Press reached out to every available party and got everyone's approval of this painstaking effort to remaster four EPs, adding some unreleased and live material. Wayne was so kind as to send us a stack of these for our shop.
There's four pictures of the box set in this reel, and the song is, Hope, so stop scrolling and imagine this in your collection.

I honestly have no idea how long I've been sitting on this release, occasionally sending out a copy as a bonus with orders. The reason for this is the band completely disappeared, with all their pages purged, a few years ago. Whilst going through the list of titles not activated in the shop, I made the executive decision to avail this obscure EP. 1918 was a short lived oi band out of St Louis, with this being the only vinyl they ever released, circa 2017. I got a pin several years ago, about the same time as this release came out, but don't recall the exact circumstances by which I came by it. Anyway, this EP is just two bux...don't lollygag!

The sharp squealing you hear is a conveyor belt with something caught in it. I had to put up with that sound for about half an hour or so, with nothing that anyone was allowed to do about it. I added the song because it fit with what I was doing and what I was having to put up with at the time of recording, and I have a few copies of the record it appears still in stock.
This is what light duty looks like, since I'm still on a 10 pound lift restriction and not allowed to lift my left arm over my head (I still do what injured me every day, even though they made me sign forms not to, and break the lift restriction, because they can't be troubled to stick to policy, and they make me do it). I'm still waiting for an MRI before further medical decisions can be made about my left shoulder.
Normally, I'm on the receiving end of that spot, moving all those packages to one of five belts as quickly as possible, but the unloaders are usually working much faster than they are in this video clip. You can hear the reason they are moving slower, the squealing was insanely loud and I edited the video volume down by 75% so as to not subject anyone willing to listen to the jarring noise we were subject to.
The IWW is not the union I am under at my day job, unfortunately, but I am an old member and active supporter.
The album with the song playing is available in our shop via the following link: http://shop.spiterecords.wtf/product/ccpvf
Derailments are still poetry in motion for me, but that's probably because it makes for a fitting allegory. Norfolk Southern Railway is racking up the derailments for the year though. Meanwhile, records are moving at the pace of human evolution...get them before the oxymoron of "human evolution" gets you. The sardonic humor is free, you're welcome.
Today, in Spite Records firsts: I deserve a cookie, because I never ship on Saturdays...I managed to get order(s) in the post today, because I had enough time, and a miniscule amount of energy, after getting home from work.
Video unrelated, for comedy relief.

I was taken aback by all the footage of the evil wrought upon Tyre Nichols. I couldn't articulate how I felt, and I definitely didn't want to contribute to the internet rage, thumbing out those thoughts from my little town in the middle of nowhere. Alas, someone compiled footage of Tyre skating to put a pause on all the violent footage. Does it make it any less painful that the human condition is so corrupt, that when given power people will wield that power violently over others if they can, that Tyre Nichols had his life cut short for no reason whatsoever? No. This is a tragedy all too common in this world, especially in this country, where it is a regular occurrence; a country where people are told that they are free, that some declaration said they were entitled to "certain inalienable rights," namely, "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," making them feel all warm, fuzzy, and otherwise comfortable with where they lived. It follows that governments have always been "destructive to these ends," and it is a duty for the people to abolish it with extreme prejudice, but that's a lecture for another time and place. I took the liberty of putting a different song into the short video clip, and adding some thoughts to the beginning and end. The song, Voice Of Memphis, by Negro Terror, is a rewritten cover of a song not worth mentioning, by a band not worth mentioning, and I imagine that if Omar were still around, he would have rewritten it again in the wake of this. It seemed fitting that the music video for this song was done at a skatepark.

Apparently, the way @bigcartel does things is not conducive to the best customer experience, as people have been paying two shipping fees in the rush to checkout. We actually pay for this mickey mouse bs, but what choice is there besides charging the same fee for a single sticker as a 12" record?
Anyway, I have made a little screen grab video of how to not get charged two shipping fees for one order. Hopefully this will help while the quest continues for a storefront that isn't as annoying on the customers' end.
This is a thing which now exists...well, it hasn't been added to the site yet, but it exists. It should, however, show up on your receipt of payment after placing an order.
