Here are all 16 pages of re:Ports. Arts and Entertainment Magazine Vol. III, No. 29, from forty years ago this August. The cover features an illustration from the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book, by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. I was sitting in the re:Ports. office one day, and in walks this guy from Dover with a portfolio full of original art from some weird new comic they were doing. I remember thinking the work was spectacular, and looked through a lot of it before picking something to use on our cover. Founded by Phillip Augusta and myself in 1981, re:Ports. Magazine compiled everything to do on every day of the week, together with original artwork, reviews, commentary, poetry, and ads. In this issue you will find articles by Tim O’Connor, Mary Jane Moulton, John Grady, Cate Goodson, and Kristin Nowell. Also many ads and calendar listings from dozens of entertainment venues.

Here is the cover of re:Ports. Arts and Entertainment Magazine from November 18th, 1983. The woodcut is by Dusty Knight, (who is now, forty years later, a finalist for the Piscataqua grant and also giving a watercolor demo at the Kittery Art Association this coming Thursday evening at 6 pm). This issue also includes an interview with gallerist Dody Kolb, reviews of art shows at the UNH Art Galleries and Cafe Petronella, a review of a recital by the Portsmouth Chamber Players, a short story by Ralph Sperry, two poems by Carl Heine, a review of "Linear C" by Carl Haarer, and John Grady's "Dispatches" column. And, as always, a centerfold calendar listing everything to do in town every day of the week, including 37 different venues at which to hear live music (the Del Fuegos at the Stone Church!), 25 different movies, and a banquet to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Strawbery Banke, featuring Dorothy Vaughn and Mrs. George Bush.
