New blogpost on my website. I discuss fast fashion vs sustainable fashion.

I’ve loved fashion since I was a little girl. Dressing up and exploring different styles have always been my passion. However, not until the past couple of years did, I realize the impact that fashion has on the world. I’m a small business owner and own a fashion brand. My goal is to become more sustainable and share with the world the benefits of sustainable fashion. Fast fashion is popular, however sustainable fashion can help save the world.

What makes the “Star Holiday Collection” so special? It’s a collection design for being cute but comfortable. I love the holidays because of the time you get to spend with family and friends. However, the most important part of the holidays is the food. I love being cute for the holidays for the photos but I also like being comfortable. The circle skirts are festive, they are designed with elastic so the dresses stretch with your body. The sweaters are a nice knit material. This collection is also special because it’s featuring my new style bundles. Which include one handmade item, one thrifted/secondhand item and one accessory.

Recently, I collaborated with my friend Jimmice, on this a bridal Jean jacket. I absolutely love the way it turned out and the bride to be was very happy. My friend Jimmice did the details of the letters on the jacket and I’ll added the lace details.

Fashion Thought of the day: Sometimes in fashion you get lost within the chaos. You want to follow trends and try to figure out what’s the next big thing. Traveling to all the fashion shows and events, networking with people within the fashion industry, working with beautiful models. It can become a lot. As much as I love fashion the one thing I’ll never do is lose myself within the industry. Rebranding myself speaks to my growth as a designer and finding what works for me. I absolutely love being creative and finding innovative ways to being fashionable without breaking the bank or losing my ethics.

I want to encourage more people to be sustainable within their work and find creative ways to work within the fashion industry without overselling or buying just to buy. Buy with purpose, buy with intent, buy with heart.

I’m still learning and growing. Improving the quality of my work, focusing on styles that work for my brand.

Eccentric Vintage is for woman who love to fun fashion. They are not afraid to stand out. They are inspired by vintage fashion. My intent is use modern eccentric fabrics but with vintage silhouettes. A lot of what I design and style within my collections are circle skirts, sweaters, & petticoats.

In summary todays message is don’t lose yourself trying to grow in fashion but find yourself and be true to who you’re. Your people will find you 🥰
