There are so many benefits to washing our hair regularly. I’ve experienced this firsthand! ⁣

My wash days are shorter. I have minimal breakage, just the usual shedding. And in general, my curls are healthy & hydrated! ⁣
⁣
Curl specialists recommended cleansing and conditioning your hair every 7-10 days, which could be shorter or longer depending on your lifestyle. ⁣
⁣
The key is to remain consistent and you’ll be sure to gain all the benefits a solid healthy, natural hair routine has to offer!⁣
⁣

This is how we’re doing it in 2023! ✨ No need to use a million and one products and spend hours upon hours on wash day 🙅🏾‍♀️. Let’s put those days to rest.
⁣
With just these 4 essential products, you can have shorter wash days and happy, hydrated curls. That’s right! No need for all of the extras. Your curls can flourish just fine without them! Just follow this simple process recommended by curl specialists - Cleanse, condition, and style (CCS).
⁣
1. Cleanse - Use an all purpose shampoo for your maintenance wash days to remove oils and other impurities from your hair and hydrate the inner layers.
⁣
2. Condition - Use a good quality rinse out conditioner to soften, moisturize, and seal hydration into your strands.⁣
⁣
3. Style - Use a styling product of choice. Depending on the style and the look you’re going for; this could be a styling foam or a gel. Twisting creams are good too but foams are just as effective for twists!
⁣
4. Repeat every 7-10 days.⁣
⁣
And that’s it! I’ve been using these 4 products for my wash day routine since seeing the light back in 2021 and BABY, the curls have been GIVING! 🤌🏾 I know CCS goes against what most of us have been taught but change is good and trust me, you’ll be so in love with your results! ⁣

Have you tried @lusbrands❓⁣ ⁣ If not, don’t feel bad. ⁣ ⁣ This is actually the first Canadian brand I’ve tried since moving here and to think they’re based right here in Ontario😅⁣ ⁣ But let’s get into the deets. ⁣ ⁣ 🫧 The Shampoo 🫧 ⁣ ⁣ A little of it goes a long way and my hair felt really clean - almost squeaky clean, which I didn’t mind because my hair needed a good cleanse.⁣ ⁣ ✨ The Conditioners ✨ ⁣ ⁣ The conditioner is light and very moisturizing but it wasn’t heavy enough for me, (I’ve found that my hair loves heavy conditioners) so I mixed it with the deep conditioner and it was perfect. 🤌🏾⁣ ⁣ My hair felt SO nourished and detangling was a breeze.⁣ ⁣ ➰The Styler➰⁣ ⁣ As you noticed, your girl was a little confused about the styler 🤣. (Reading is essential saints lol). But it didn’t disappoint❗️⁣ ⁣ This is honestly THEE BEST twist out I’ve done❗️⁣ ⁣ The definition was insane❣️ ⁣ ⁣ It also faired well against the humidity and me constantly putting my beanie on top of it to keep my head and ears warm.😅⁣ ⁣ 🚨The Verdict🚨⁣ ⁣ My hair truly loves these products. The Ultimate Curly Hair Experience by @torontocurlygirlmeetup was EVERYTHING ✨ ⁣ ⁣ From the moment I walked through the door I was completely blown away. Everything was so beautiful! 💕 ⁣ ⁣ The segments with @missjullyblack and the panelist were top tier! Both were so insightful, relatable, and even a bit emotional!
